I'm just a WTF instructor trying to supplement his training with some ITF patterns, but I wanted to say you're teaching style and attention to detail is great, thanks!

Great explanation but it would help a lot if there was someone holding the camera and rotating 360 degrees for every step. No idea what is done with the movement of the hands and feet once the back is turned.

Beautifully effective against grapplers: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Karate, etc. There's a reason the ADCC National Champion in Owensboro was both terrified and shocked when he saw me use part of this for grappling purposes. "You _had_ to have some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu." Nope. Tae-Kwon-Do. "No, you _had_ to have had some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to do that!" Nope, just military Tae-Kwon-Do ranks only. Not the fake-kwon-do you see in the Olympics. Now Owensboro Gracie Jiu Jitsu opened up a striking course _just_ because I came in there and made their jaws drop, lol.

Great stuff, I find your videos very helpful and very clear to understand. Be great to see you do the pattern at the end of your videos. Keep posting Sir. Some comments on here need to learn "COURTESY" As the other guy said, lets see your Joong Gun pattern on here, and let us judge you.

Those kind of comments do make me laugh, I hope you just ignore comments like that, everyone seems to think they are sooo damm perfect on KZfaq, have you noticed that... But I do find a lot of people I train with and know of from other classes seem to forget all Tenents of TKD and a hell of a lot on here too. Shame really as I love all aspects of the martial art, and I resect all other forms of art's..But hey thats just me... As I said before, please keep up the GOOD work sir...

Although some techniques are not performed correctly, this was well performed. For the techniques, there are official ITF videos where you can find the correct techniques. But don't worry about Sine-Wave.

This teacher seems to be very good, looks like he knows what he's doing and don't you think that Koreans have a great sense of style within TKD? Looks like he was born doing TKD.

***** The suit is an old style TAGB suit (I have a new one now), the belt is a 'ceremonial' belt (with my name and grade in Korean writing). What organisation are you in?

***** The side kick has moved slightly as I've hit the Bob, trust me it was okay when it landed. The standing foot should not be totally in line or you will over balance, why do you think I'm American, I'm British! Let's see you do a kick then, not shy are you?

Mr Savage Are you going to upload one of your kicks then?
@andrewwheeldon3957
@andrewwheeldon3957 7 жыл бұрын
Mr Savage We were with the UKTA under KiHaRhee up until we split due to some incongruous monetary mismanagement, (not sure of the date but it was late 80s or early 90s) whereupon the TAGB was born (ITF is the 'umbrella' organisation). The belts go White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red and Black with tags (or stripes as they use now) at each grade too. The black belt is the first Dan and there are 9 Dan grades (the Americans have invented tenth dans (most posthumous) but Korean and European the 9th Dan is as far as you can go. Can I ask you a question? - What is the actual organisation you belong to (I don't mean ITF) and what country are you from?
@andrewwheeldon3957
@andrewwheeldon3957 7 жыл бұрын
***** TAGB IS ITF based the UKTA was the original TKD association in Great Britain when Rhee Ki Ha brought TKD to Great Britain! We do Chon Ji, Dan Gun, Do San, Won Hyo, Yul Gok, Joong Gun, Toi Gye, Hwa Rang, Chung Mu. Etc etc. As for his ability, I think you are being critical - the snap kick was pulled short but quite a few people have interpreted the General's meaning of that kick as a short sharp kick. I do a more fully extended front kick, let's not pull him to bits, at least he's putting a video out there with as far as I can see - no mistakes. That's got to be good.

None of this is correct. You done every move with multiple mistakes. As an ITF student where these patterns come for my advice would be to stop teaching and re learn for a real ITF dojang

I'm a 4th dan with 40 years in and his form and teaching style are excellent. I can tell how much attention a person has paid in the arts, and how far they've come, by their level of humility.
