I'm starting a small fragance collection - your olfactory descriptions got me to appreciate them again. I just ordered this as my everyday clean smell. Btw- from all the fragance channels I've visited you have the most varied selection of scent profiles and you choose them thoughtfully which I appreciate. You're not about the FOMO of buying the latest fragance even tho it smells almost like 5 other releases

I miss the 90s when all the perfumes were strong and long lasting. The FDA stopped all that &now everything is watered down smelly water with outrageous prices.

Wonderful review! Love the imagery of the lady just out of the bath! And the Lacy ruffle Madonna type socks! WHAT👏A👏REVIEW👏. You brought me all the 80's nostalgia, and I wasn't even born in the 80's but in 92. You are great at communicating. I'm from Spain and it's been such a delight hearing you. I want to purchase it, but vanilla never worked on my skin.

I just subbed to your channel because you are fucking awesome! I love how you describe fragrances, and talk about them. There is this rich, yet emotional component to how you approach your videos. Thank you for taking me on a trip with you, even if it's for a few minutes. I have fond memories of this perfume from my younger days. I also had a Cabbage Patch Kid, so this was hitting the nostalgia hard with all the dope 80s references. I need to buy this again, ahhh take me back to the 80s!

The Cabbage Patch Kids in french were called Poupées Bout de Chou, with the contraction Poupées Bout d’Chou. And I miss so much these phones made in bakélite. Ours was beige.

Great review! I love this scent; it’s exactly what you describe. It’s very nice to wear in the home and/or going to bed. So comforting. In the Netherlands it’s a very affordable perfume.

I recently finally got a very first edition of Le Bain and it is way more powerful and beautiful than the current version. It makes me sad that nowadays almost all the perfumes are reformulated and I will never get over it. I soooo much miss the 80s. Thank you for this wonderful review 💜💖❤

Maybe the ones of today just need a few years to marinate/ get stronger.... who knows?

Well said Zepster77! Many times the newer batches just need a few years and some oxygen to ripen a bit more and get more heavy. This perfume has quite a bit of vanilla in it and with time vanilla darkens both in color and smell. So you can imagine how much deeper a bottle of Le Bain from the 80's smells today as opposed to how it smelled in the eighties when it was new. After all... 32 years have passed since its original release... xoxo

Yes, I bought it. Smelled this ages ago. Never forgot it. Sweet, spicy, floral vanilla bomb. Saw a 75 ml for under 20 Euro’s. It’s coming tomorrow (I’ll hope there is a storm going on in my country).And I love your review. So flamboyant charming and fun. Muchos gracias! 🌷

Joop La Bain > OMG, for me it was a blind buy. The one and only that made me sick and almost vomit. I swear. Changing clothes wasn't enough to get rid of the smell, I had to wash everything that came into contact with it and even take a shower. Until today I have no idea if it was spoiled, or if it's just a scent that I hated.

Maybe you do not like too much vanilla in a perfume? It can smell a bit spoiled when overdosed.

@@essence-tiallydacob9611 It was so bad, when I saw the video today I almost felt sick again. Maybe it was the heaviness of the almond and vanilla. On the other hand, it was so bad that I can hardly imagine that it was really normal. I don't know what it's like when a perfume spills and becomes bad, maybe that can lead to similar reactions!? But actually it was new from a drug store, but who knows...

From your describtion the right soundtrack would be Kylie Minogues "I should be so lucky" complete with bath scene hahahaha I think in her "Loco Motion" video she is wearing this type of socks. I never smelled it back in the days, but i blind bought it recently and it indeed smells very 80's! I didnt really like Lou Lou and Giorgio back then so the first snif kinda scared me( so sharp) but the dry down in this one is soooo beautiful❤
