Its almost hilarious seeing many people hate on Taylor. I remember when I went to a camp ran by Jeff Jordan and seeing Taylor doing everything needed from filling up water bottles to teaching to getting gear out for people. If any of you have actually meet the kid he is one of the most humblest guys I have met.

David Taylor is by far my favorite all time collegiate wrestler but he wasn't gracious in defeat here.

Matt Rostosky Pfft! He shook his hand like he always does! Do you want him to just not be disappointed? Its his dream to be number 1 not number 2... he always comes so so so so so so close and loses every time to Jordan. Dont act like you have any idea what its like to live in the shadow of someone your entire collegiate career. Knowing you have the skill, but not being able to get it done. If I were him, I'd be a lot less "gracious."

on my high school team only 1 football player made it through pre-season in 4 years (and he turned out to be pretty good). All the rest lasted a few weeks at best, because wrestling workouts were so much harder than football. That was a half-century ago, but it doesn’t look like wrestling has gotten any easier….

This went about exactly how it should have. Taylor is one of the other best wrestlers from the U.S. around this weight class, which makes him on of the best in the world. It's expected for him to have trouble with Burroughs especially in the early minutes against a new gold medalist. Then Taylor shows he's dangerous enough to score on anybody after awhile, and probably the gap would close over more time. Other matchups with world champs vs. the "next level" guys are similar.

this shows you how good burroughs really is I mean taylor 2 years ago teched his kid in the finals and in this match you can see that Jordans on a different level and pretty much fucking destroyed him even though taylor is an amazing wrestler.

Even if it was the "weakest weight class" every person there is an athlete. These are people are recruited to a Division 1 school. These are people who train their entire lives, they are strong, they are fast, they are conditioned, and they function like that with one meal a day(if at all). And I hate your argument earlier about a wrestler not being able to come and play football or baseball(because they are not real athletes) there is no such thing as simply stepping on a mat. Wrestling is life

Why are takedowns worth 1 point here? In most freestyle videos they are worth 2 points. Also, why do the points start over during the 2nd period rather than continuing form the 1st period?

Ok, what do you mean, 2ndasylum, sports he could never play? Basketball? anybody can shoot a hoop. Track? I'm pretty sure he was running for a very long time for his wrestling now. BUT GUESS WHAT!
