🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ I think the logic is that you should be able to use your two steps for a jumpshot similar to when you go up for a layup. So sometimes the foot work makes sense. But often they do shit that would be a travel even if they were going to the rim.

No it’s not lmao it’s the whole giannis travel debate but the opposite direction… the first step is the gather step and then the step back is 1step…hence not a travel lol
@letmebe.94012 жыл бұрын
@@battyboifided6629 I understand the logistic explanation that circumvents the rule of not taking more than two steps without a dribble. But we all can see with our that he is taking a full jump which constitutes two steps and then additional two steps. I know that the NBA is not gonna call it I understand why they’re not calling it but let’s be real about what we’re looking at. He’s taking nearly 4 steps. The NBA allows players to play with the rules like this because they want to encourage more scoring, but in my opinion I prefer sports where the defense actually has a chance to stop the offense. They allow James Harden to do should just be outlawed. The way that he draws bowels by sticking his arm around the fenders back and basically hook in the defender but they called a foul on a defender because he’s not able to release him; that’s completely outrageous.
@letmebe.94012 жыл бұрын
@@battyboifided6629 just went back and looked at it at 25% speed after he dribbles behind his back he clearly takes one full step then he hops off of that step and put his feet down twice it’s three steps no matter how you look at it. The whole concept of a zero step tmakes no sense

@@LuisoArt123 No travel little lady once you take your last dribble the first step you take is called a zero step it doesn’t count as a step after the first step is when u can take two steps therefore the move is legal it’s 2021 people should know this
@joeasuncion28912 жыл бұрын
They never changed it. It just become prevalent as fuck as of late and more and more people were calling travel when it was legal. D Wade used to ALWAYS do this type shit but a side step instead of a step back, and nobody questioned it back in mid/late 2000’s. Stop crying

This one actually is a travel because he discontinued his dribble and then stepped back if he hangs the ball for just a half second longer it would be clean

His right leg was on the floor for the gather so it isnt counted as a step. He could stand like a flamingo then step back and it’d still be clean (nba and fiba only)
