The people living in their houses dont care what their country is called. Regardless of the name of their country, they reserve the right to remain in their houses but israel forced them out For example. Most of my sudanese fathers' siblings were born before sudanese independence. Before 1956 it was a british colony. Before 1956 and after 1956 the family house remained the same. It would he unjust for anyone to expel them from the family home after 1956 just because the name of the country changed. This applies to the sudanese, to palestineans, or anyone anywhere.

I disagree. I think this answer shows a lack of understanding of how this region works, even once you disregard the pure hate factor. There is no live and let live, there is you are weak and thus we will crush, dominate and take over. They were betting on once you draw blood and show the weakness the rest of the hyenas will follow. Documents found showed that they planned to go further and expected to last longer, but they failed, at least at that.

Yes, he should speak about that, but also about Palestinian children, women and elderly, still dying of bombs, missiles, hunger, dehidration... Do you know what the Israeli ban on medicines caused? Doctors are performing C-sections on women without anesthesia, cutting children's limbs without anesthesia. Treatable patiens and wounded dying of sepsa as there are no antibiotics left. Or what the Israeli ban on fuel caused? Babies in incubators have died, patients who need kidney dyalisis have died. Or what their indiscriminate bombing is causing? Thousands of families decimated, hundreds deleted from the citizens registry, hundreds of children left completely alone with no siblings or other family members, sitting hungry and trirsty for days in hospital corridors. Some of those children will one day create a new Hamas. That's a proven recipe of radicalization.

I have had respect for this man in the past for his philosophical approach and wonderful mind but he has shown a very ignorant approach for such an intellectual mind and it makes me sad. At about the 6 minute mark in this interview the effect of the media images is mentioned. I am old enough to have experienced the Viet Nam war. (I am Canadian not an American). I watched the media reports every night for years, and I feel that the U.S. lost the war & harmed the returning American troops because of their visually graphic reports. I have met and worked with Vietnam vets, Canadian & American, Dresden, Germany survivors, nothing nice happens in a war, just ask those that are asked (or drafted) to participate!

The argument goes something like... it contained no mature discrimination for innocence "on the other side". In Biblical religious terms (found throughout the Bible), "the Lord" says you shall protect innocence and stand against (combat) evil. There as well it is directed that it is not man's place to hate, not even on his enemy. So to declare "give 'em hell" where there are civilians present, even if we do not know who may be supporting "terrorists" or not, is considered by many to be presumption of entitlement in "hate". Later, Dr. Petersen in his subsequent interviews and video followup never actually spoke to this, i.e., it is commonly understood in intellectual discourse that nuanced consideration must be applied for maturely addressing a subject (meaning generalizations fall short of honesty or capability to lead to insight) ...and so even in his followup he never applied any nuanced distinction between terrorists and a people. Even if they are people who made poor choices, not all those civilians are terrorists and deserve the unbridled wrath of returned dispensation of terror. At least, that is the frame of the argument. Not all agree, obviously. Everyone must make their own peace about what to do with their hate and relationships with their Lord/s.

They (Palestinians) don't have a generational right to return! There was no Article in the UN in '48 on a right to return. It was established in 1951 and doesn't address refugee status on war. It also excludes those refugees "crimes against peace" therefore, Palestinians today are just stateless people, not refugees. 1951 Conference Status of refugees.
