Do you know the 12 rules for life that Jordan Peterson lives by ? Here’s a FREE PDF of the 12 RULES FOR LIFE if you don’t know them: bit.ly/12-RULES-FREE-PDF
Respect means a lot to all of us. This is how you can get more of it.
1. Don't be a pushover
2. Do your Research before stating your opinions and Beliefs
3. Conceptualize how things could be great if they were great for you, if you were taking care of yourself and then work to make that the case for everyone else
4. You have to bargain from a position of authority
5. In order to speak what you might regard as the truth, you have to let go of the outcome

I am grateful to You Father for the courage You give me to be my authentic self. I am grateful that people appreciate and respect me and I can do my part of Your will on Earth as it is in Heaven. Try this prayer instead. Notice it is "now" as it is when achieved.

I am finally able to speak up for myself, to know that I have honor and the respect. I can see the past me and the present me, and the difference is that I am no longer getting swayed by people through their manipulations.

The primary principle in Baghawat Gita is "do your duty, despite the consequences" and that's deep. The story of Kurukshetra war is when cousins Kings go to war, and the teaching of Lord Krishna is, go out and do your duty despite the fact they're your cousin, since you're only defending the truth, and esp it is being fought for righteousness that should prevail

This is hard to relate to as a member of the Army I was a 15yr boxer but a nice guy, so people loved the fact that they were protected by the Army and looked to get in my face about the tiniest of things, knowing that I could knock them out in 1 second was painful, the little pups they got running the joint there

I feel like, right now, MAKING people respect you is the only way to properly attain it. Good title for the video. I really lost touch the last few years, excess weed and kratom use turned me into a fool with high prolactin. Along with my own desire to be liked. I used to care more about being respected than liked and things were better for me

You don't gain respect by saying but by doing, people respect you for who you are. If you have respectable qualities even when push comes to a shove, you're respected automatically

What do you do when you simply can't make someone respect you? There's this mom at the playground whose son likes to push around my son. We've tried talking to her. She doesn't care. My son and I have started taking martial arts classes. My son is already showing increased confidence in his ability to deal with bullies. But I know that once he decides to finally push that bully back, however he wants to do that, that bully's mother, whose story up to now has been "Sorry, I just wasn't paying attention, I'm such a bad mother, tehehe" is now very quickly going to drop the charade and create all kinds of drama, like probably telling the principal, who already doesn't like me, that my son beat up hers, which will be at least partly true, I like to think. My son will then be labeled the "problem" and I'll have to sit there and try my best not to kill the principal where he stands, and not killing people is becoming increasingly difficult given that I'm expected to endure limitless humiliations. What do I do. I need help. I need good advice.

What do you do if when you stick up for yourself you go too far? Threaten to kill people etc? I'm a gentle giant so when people deal with my personality they can take advantage but when I threaten with my size and I go overboard as I do they feel threatened. The grey area kills me
