Clinical Psychologist Jordan Peterson explains to Ratna omidvar the importance of sampling bias and the need for random sampling in public consolation of legislature. From the senate hearing on bill c16

No? This aged so poorly. You do not want a random sample size for the opinion of a population on these issues. The whole point of listing the opinions of the various institutions was for a biased sample. You want expert opinion on the issue just like you would value expertise on how to construct a publicly funded bridge project. Those who are not contending with the data should not have had a significant sway on the legislation of c16.

I was caught off guard by how quickly she exposed herself as unprepared, uninformed and frankly, foolish, despite presenting the calm demeanor of a well-researched inquisitor that has a compendious grasp of the issue at hand. I sensed Peterson was agitated by the level of mental capacity he was obliged to address. That being said, as much of an idiot as Omidvar may be, NONE of her colleagues assisted and watched the bus roll over her and back up...awful.

He’s very verbose but that does not really go to prove any statements that he makes. It just means that he knows how to use complex academic jargon in such a way to make it seem that what he is talking about is relevant. This is also indicative of a man that argues in bad faith. He speaks confidently but presents no evidence for his statements. He is nebulous and evasive when he makes his statements as well, this is a rhetorical trick that he employs in order to avoid actually presenting an evidence-based argument. So no it’s not “jaw droppings amazing.” He’s simply a political crank.

@@benjamink.1970 indicating a larger scope of the spread of wanton stupidity. Sadly, this cancer that has infected Canada will only be removed through revolution. That revolution will only be able to effectively happen peacefully if the government of Canada totally collapses. As a Canadian, I believe Canada will enact its own self-destruction within the next 20-30 years, maybe sooner, but I don't know. I'd rather not be there when it happens. If it happens later, I'd really, *REALLY* prefer not to be there when it happens because when socialism gets to that stage, that's when millions of people starve. Canada has been ruined by the far leftists. It must be from their own hand that its collapse also happens. Fortunately, history doesn't always repeat itself, but it does tend to rhyme, so we probably don't have to wait too long. Perhaps within this generation, perhaps within the next. Slipping into socialism/communism can not continue indefinitely. Trudeau is now under investigation for yet another corruption scandal of dropping 900 million of government funds into his wife's pockets (well, sort of indirectly), so we'll see if that wakes up the Canadian populace. I doubt it. Unfortunately, the type of leader Canada needs right now is not represented by any other politicians in the field. Canada has no political leaders who have clarity of mind. If there were, they wouldn't be anywhere near popular enough to get any headway. Canada is openly hostile to the types of ideas that they need in order to survive the next 50-100 years. That's a bad mix there Canada.

Isn’t the onus on him to actually prove that his statement has evidence to support it? He came out attacking Bill C16 and presented no evidence that supported his alarmist rhetoric. I would go one further to say that he lied or he didn’t read it. Either way? He never presents anything that supports what he says about this bill. Ever.

As an Indian-American, I would like to boldly assume the position of representative of Indians/Indian Origin folks and excommunicate her from our ranks. Perhaps the Pakistanis or the Bangladeshis will be so kind as to take her in?

Jordan Peterson is magnificent! If you are going to challenge him you had better be well prepared. Ratna Omidvar was not. It is unfortunate that Jordan’s arguments, which he beautifully articulates, will probably not change any minds - including that of Senator Omidvar. I do not question her sincerity. I question her vision.

I think the people in the background deserve some sort of stoicism award. If I was in that crowd my mouth would have gone slack for a moment, followed by a very loud “DAAAAAAAAAM SON!” Wishing Dr. Peterson a speedy and complete recovery.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I know dozens of people in Spain that read, follow, listen and support Peterson. This guy, despite the fact that he may not like it and may have certainly not looked for it, is one of our most important worldwide thought leaders in XXI century and we must be thankful for having him.

Nyet Zdyec you would if those people acted on what they were told by the experts, but that’s not what is happening, and that’s not what happened with the bill in this video.

@@andrewsperry6450 Yeah, I know. They passed the bill anyway, without listening to the warning of the precedent that they'd be setting. Way too many emotions, and way too little logic.
