To be fair, there are not enough rooms to have one held exclusive for each individual committee and subcommittee. Particularly for public hearing settings. The rooms are shared and scheduled, and the name plates swapped out for each different group. Thus it is inevitable that a smaller committee will leave a large number of empty seats in the room, as only committee members are allowed in those seats. Other members of Congress who wish to be present can only be seated in the visitor/media gallery during the session.

I read thousands of Light Novels from Chinese, Korean and Japanese. The scariest thing is no matter how powerful main characters become, even able to destroy a planet with ease, yet they still submit to the Chinese authority. It's to the point that only Chinese novels fully accept that the government can and will be able to track all citizens and theirs activities at any given time.

years ago I've watched a movie/documentary called "in google we trust" which was filmed in australia ca. 16 years ago (around 2007-8).. it was astounding and thought provoking ... It's just a scary idea when you think how much the tech progressed since and what it is capable of doing... in fact, I think that many subjects (like environmental or 2030, 2050 agendas) are indeed inspired by skynet/a.i. even the anonymous letters received might suggest that there aren't people behind them anymore.. 😮🤔🤷‍♂️

DARPA's LifeLog (part of the Dept of Defense) program was built to do the following according to Wikipedia. "an ontology-based (sub)system that captures, stores, and makes accessible the flow of one person's experience in and interactions with the world in order to support a broad spectrum of associates/assistants and other system capabilities". The objective of the LifeLog concept was "to be able to trace the 'threads' of an individual's life in terms of events, states, and relationships", and it has the ability to "take in all of a subject's experience, from phone numbers dialed and e-mail messages viewed to every breath taken, step made and place gone". It was shut down in Feb 2004 due to fierce public outcry, also in Feb 2004 Facebook was established doing the same thing. Coincidence?

2:59 I'm so happy they addressed him professionally as a psychologist, despite the association in Canada attempting to remove his license to practice. Edit: I misspoke. It's only the Ontario college of psychologists attempting to remove Dr. Peterson's licence, though considering his licence to practice clinical psychology was obtained in Ontario, he wouldn't really have a licence to practice anywhere unless he was granted licences by other provinces or institutions in the United States.

While I too love Jordan, he should be held to the same standards as everyone else and I'm more than sure he'd agree. If one person is allowed to go way over their allotted time, then it'd be unfair and two faced to not do the same for the other side. As much as I detest them, they were very generous in not interrupting him until he'd gone for over 50% more time than he was allotted.

Dr. Peterson, I am in awe of you and your genius! I appreciate you and everything you discuss and disclose. I also wish our government was more proactive. Both sides should want to provide protection for Americans. "They" may have protection today and in the future but eventually, this will affect their family too. Nothing bad ever works out well. Ikr. People either are so afraid of the villains that the news channels show. Or they have the "if you're not doing anything wrong you don't have to worry" or "they can't watch everyone" mentality. There's cameras every corner,house,phones. They have facial recognition etc and with AI processing they CAN watch and put together with CONTEXT, EVERYTHING. and it will organize and keep record or everything. They could even have drones that enforce in real time. If they got rid of all street crimes, then they stop petty crime,traffic crime etc.. Do they stop there and then we live happily in utopia? Or do they move the goal post and constantly crack down on every little thing that they don't prefer? We may see, the world finally conquered under one banner. The perfect dictator who finally enslaves the entire world, and for the first time they'll finally have stripped the one thing that they could never take from the slaves of every era, HOPE. There would be no hope, no possibility od escape (every inch of the world accounted for) not even the hope of ending oneself. It's like a karmic irony for the conditions our cattle and chickens (factory farming, I'm not against ranching traditionally) that we may live in that way soon.

I am a Canadian that left Canada with my family and moved to the US weeks before the trucker protest in Canada. The protest and the government response to that protest solidified and supported my decision. The US constitution has to certainly be one of if not the greatest piece of government legislation ever written. The US government would love to have the level of control over its citizens that the Canadian government has over its citizens. There is one thing stopping them, and it is the foundation of your nation based on the constitution, which enshrines personal rights and freedoms as part of being a US citizen. Land of the free and home of the brave, I am greatful to be a guest with the ability to work and contribute to the US with the goal of becoming a naturalized citizen.

Long ago I began, slowly at first, deliberately injecting random noise into all of my social media accounts, deliberately writing nonsense along with things that I don't actually believe, and I told all of my friends I was doing this. When the day came where people who knew me well enough to know better were fooled by the randomness of my posts, I discontinued use of social media entirely and now only communicate with friends and family in person. I can tell that this sort of had the effect I wanted in that most of the advertising served to me is completely innappropriate and 'barking up the wrong tree', (advertizing maternity dresses to me is particularily funny) but I had not considered what would happen if government took my 'noise' seriously. It pleases me that the information they have about me is mixed with enough nonsense that my file is not very valuable in predicting my behaviors, but to be held accountable for fibs construed to confuse the algorithms is a terrifying prospect. I've used sarcasm since I was a teen, but in text form sarcasm is only detectable be people who know you well enough to detect it without body language and intonation. To a surveillance state, sarcasm does not exist.
