I have been dying for Jordan to speak with you, David Stockman, or Dr. Bob Murphy from Mises Institute. Tom Woods from the Tom woods show would be great as well. Most of all, I would THOROUGHLY enjoy an discussion with Dr. Walter Block on the praxeology or someone like Hans Hermann Hoppe on private property. Those would be deeply philosophical and I think he would see how much his maps of meaning dovetails with Mises' understanding of Human Action.

Some economists have projected that both the U.S. and parts of Europe could slip into a recession for a portion of 2023. A global recession, defined as a contraction in annual global per capita income, is more rare because China and emerging markets often grow faster than more developed economies. Essentially the world economy is considered to be in recession if economic growth falls behind population growth.

America is currently plagued by the hydra-headed evil duo of inflation and recession. The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April of 2022 alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun.

Inflation depreciates idle money. I'm in a privileged position to be able to save almost 65% of our net household income, as I placed it on safer investments. The key for us was not spending beyond our means. If you invest and have other sources of income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends. Got north of $200K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further

The main problem is that most folks don’t care about anything other than football, Basketball and Music etc. They find it normal to take credit card debt which will cost them 20percent per year but considers it risky to invest their money and make 10percent or more per month. Learning to avoid high interest debt while also learning how to put your money to work for you by investing is a very powerful combo
@Robertgriffinne

One strategy is to invest in assets that performs well during inflation. Another strategy is to focus on companies that have the ability to pass on price increases to their customers. Its also important to maintain a diversified portfolio. It may be a good idea to speak with a broker who can help you develop a customized investment strategy based on your individual goals and risk tolerance

The manipulation of the markets is unbelievable , In spite of how everyone is frightened and calling the crash, there is already an excessive amount of demand waiting to absorb it, which is another reason it's less likely to happen that way. This forecast was not made in 2008, at least not by the general public, as I will explain below. The ownership rate peaked in 2004, according to the other comment. We reached a peak in the second quarter of 2020 and are currently at the median level. From 2008 to 2012, it fell by 3%, and in the second quarter of 2020, it dropped from 68 to 65

It is a government inspired crisis this time. The Treasury have to sell Bonds to cover the trade imbalance and the government spending imbalance. In order to sell them they have to raise interest rates and the old long-term, low risk, low interest, AAA investments (including Treasury Bonds), held by the banks (often due to government regulatory policy), become next to worthless. The next milestone is the 15th when the government issue a new batch of Bonds. I have approximately 350k stagnant in my portfolio that needs growth. What is the best way to take advantage of this downturn?

The pathway to substantial returns doesn't solely rely on stocks with significant movements. Instead, it revolves around effectively managing risk relative to reward. By appropriately sizing your positions and capitalizing on your advantage repeatedly, you can progressively work towards achieving your financial goals. This principle applies across various investment approaches, whether it be long-term investing or day trading.

Despite utilizing the correct strategies and possessing the right assets, there can still be variations in the investment returns among different investors. It is important to acknowledge that experience plays a crucial role in investment success. I strategically withdrew my profits just before the market correction, and now I am taking advantage of the buying opportunities once again.

According to certain economists, it's possible that the U.S. and certain parts of Europe might experience a recession at some point in 2023. Although a global recession, which is characterized by a decline in annual global per capita income, is relatively uncommon due to the faster growth rates of emerging markets like China, in comparison to developed economies. It was a very bad decision to remove the Glass-Steagall Act in the late 1990s, which led to the spectacular failure of huge banks during the financial crisis of 2007-2008. To prevent another disaster, Dodd-Frank and this statute both need to be reestablished right away. I am a homeowner (who is satisfied with my home / no intention to move) and yet I'm still terrified by the insane explosion in home prices over the course of the past 3 years; primarily because I have three young children and I would like for them to be able to buy their own homes one day as well. Homeowners who get happy when the (supposed) "value" of their homes explodes upward are being shortsighted. Jordan is a brilliant listener, he seems to be effortlessly able to summarise a long explanation statement into a sentence or two without misrepresentation or omission. Truly wisdom is in one's ability to listen, learn, critique, find the questions remaining, and recall in application or summarise simply. If someone can simply and honestly summarise with veracity, you know they understand the subject or statement. They are likely able to explain why it is true or false, it doesn't matter if everyone or no one believes him, that's a "you problem". Essence of humbleness. The wise are respectfully humble.

It’s important to note that not all stocks are affected in the same way by inflation. It’s important to choose stocks that are expected to hold up in inflationary environments. The core analysis that he has always given yhough is a sound one, namely that you can't build an economy on super low interest rates, ever increasing levels of debt etc. Most understand that that is something that can't go on forever, but it is quite impossible to predict exactly when the end of the line will be reached.

Schiff has been very accurate on the US and World Economy. He could NEVER have predicted the US Swamp filled Govt would ever unleash $30T into the economy to push the can down the road. When I first listened to Schiff the average cost of a US Home was $125K. A new car $10K. Health Ins $80 a month. Tuition $5K a year. Rent $500 a month. Food $ half of what it is now. Gallon of gas $1. Shall I go on ? Average price for a US Home today is $425K. That was a luxury home on the Ocean when Schiff was first sounding the warning alarm. Listen Mr Smugly- imagine you are a 26 year old college grad today getting married & starting a family. These kids must be terrified.

We enjoyed the crystal clear discussion in 'Economic Storms are Coming', featuring the esteemed Mr. Peter Schiff and Dr. Jordan B Peterson. Both Schiff and Peterson are true luminaries in their fields - business, politics, economics and psychology. Schiff's relentless commitment to promoting economic literacy and his tenacity in the private sector, particularly with his gold business and numerous financial ventures, are a testament to his dedication. Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavours, Schiff's commitment to providing a financial safety net for the public highlights his role as a protector of the public's financial well-being and solidify his role as guardian of public economic, business, and economic health. His comprehensive and intricate radio streams and podcasts may be complex, but they reflect his commitment to sharing valuable insights with the public. Additionally, Schiff's deep sense of political responsibility to elucidate public understanding on governance issues is truly commendable. His forthright communication of ethical governance principles has become a cornerstone for many. Our hope is that the excellence in teaching that Mr. Schiff demonstrates, whether it's in Austrian economics, business, or politics, is recognized universally. We wish that one day the Austrian School of Economics considers awarding Mr. Schiff with an honorary degree to respect and acknowledge his status as a teacher or professor of the world in these critical domains of business, economics and political theory, if not at the very least in economics. We eagerly anticipate more of such compelling and enlightening discussions." Similarly, Dr. Peterson, a true Canadian hero, tirelessly advocates for his fellow citizens. His unwavering support for free speech and his efforts to promote critical thinking resonate with many, making him a beacon of hope in these challenging times. Both Schiff and Peterson, in their unique ways, demonstrate an unyielding commitment to public service, public safety and intellectual enrichment. As pertaining to Canada, this commitment is echoed by Pierre Poilievre, who has emerged as a significant figure for his people and for humanity as part of his own heroic journey. We hold immense appreciation for their tireless efforts to foster understanding and encourage forward-thinking in their respective domains.

I loved this video!! This took me 6 hours to watch and not because I am unintelligent nor tech averse. It was because the only financial education I received was Mathematics in High School and one required course in Economics in University. I constantly rewound the video, wrote notes, googled terms, and researched background info (the info rabbit hole WE ALL fall into that soaks up days!) I even broke open my old University days Merriam-Webster dictionary! (still wrapped in the beer stained cellophane, embarrassingly enough) This video made me realize how much we have failed, both ourselves and our children, on financial literacy and education. It is a crime, an academic crime that so few people actually understand money mechanics, who creates the money supply, how the money supply is created, and the dynamics involved with governments, the economy, stock markets, and taxation. How can, we the people, hold our politicians accountable if only a handful of us understand how money works! This video was a slap in my ignorant face. This video also made me acutely depressed about the quote uttered by Nathan Mayer Rothschild: _"I care not what puppet is placed upon the throne of England to rule the Empire on which the sun never sets. The man who controls the British money supply controls the British Empire, and I control the British money supply."_ Which means to me: If you own the money supply of a sovereign country, then the laws of said country meaning nothing to you.

I started listening to Peter in 2008 during the crash. He was one of the few people appearing on cnbc who made any sense at all explaining what had caused the whole mess. Everyone else refused to point a finger at the Fed or Govt as having provided the gasoline for the fire. The other guests all seemed to be reading from the same script as if their jobs depended on it.

As a major exporting country, we entered a recession as a result of the global economic downturn. You need to be able to examine everything you've done in the past when there is a recession. Yet I'm glad I secured profits.

Would you consider liquidation of assets a smart move? Despite the recession and lurking depression, I doubt if selling was right because I am a strong bull on the economy too. Then again, it could depend on what your risk management was.

@@MarthaDavis-fh6cw Hi dear, interesting. I stand corrected anyway… was ROSEMARIE AGATHA ALLORA recently featured on cbcc? She talked about how debt and credit fuel the economy. She’s a bit pricy but better safe than not right.

I remember as a young man when the US went off the gold standard. I thought to myself, “There’s something wrong with this”. I knew intuitively then what I know matter of factly now.

Peter is a living legend the world needs more hard hitting smart straight shoots like Peter. Thank you both a superb conversation. The major threat is the suppression of free speech governments are planning to stop these exact intelligent discussions. Peter looks amazing in his suit and I note his huge respect for you Jordan and I must say your discussion/interviewing ability is at another level. Please would you guys catch up again like this in a month or so. This is a pure gold interview.
