I watch you because “you do” carve Wood Spirits, the more I watch your spirit carvings the more I am believing I can do that! I just need to get some wood and try carving my own art. Thank you Ron in WA.

The tables & chair turned out awesome as well as Mr. Roothead. I agree with you,art shouldn't have rules. Rules = conformity. And conformity is the #1 killer of creativity. ✌️🎨🎨🎨😁

My brother who just past away loved wood and I’m going to miss him, but he loved the point of being respectful and making a story in the wood he found in the BayArea, Ca., fishing and as 82nd Airborne veteran! I’m sorry! I’m just an Arborist here and I’m just thinking of Artie’s work next! 👊👍❤️😇🙏❤️.

Nice root head Jordy. Those are fun. At the one hour five minute mark of this video you pass up a "pimply " piece of wood. It almost looks like a whale with chin bumps. You might use that one for your whale challenge. Keep making dust, I enjoy what your doing

Thank you for your word on the oil, luckily it emptied into the garage! So yes, I will reuse the Canola! And thank you also for reminding us how to use the chain to avoid kickbacks, it makes me anxious! And yes, I burned some creations but I learned a lot from them, so practice, practice and practice again, there are so many angles and perceptions to observe! And for the challenge of spirit whale, you have it at 1:00:37 or at 1:05:26 , no?!

The roots on the tall piece would look really cool with snake heads on the end of them. One already looks like a snake head. It could be a Medusa Wood Spirit. I'd like to try it myself.

Alder has a high acidity level it’s beautiful to carve and sycamore trees are the worst something in the wood that gets you nauseated exspecially dead or dry the dust is the worst green wood I never had an issue with

I found that if the wood has at least one major knot on one end or the other it may crack but it’s a lot less likely to crack in half compared to a wood piece with no knots it’s like the narley knots hold it together ,but I use full logs .for spirit men but I’m still young and learning and I’ve only been carving for 5 months that’s when I almost gave up , then my son bought bought me an apple I pad , I never used a computer 58 yrs and it’s been a mind boggling 5 months trying to learn computers and dremel carving at the same time I’m mostly freaked out at this whole new world at my finger tips . When I first started looking for you tube videos I watched a bunch of them until I saw your site and I’m like why do the other carving sites even try . To me I understand your site and it was like a magnet I have since then watched suffered through many other videos to learn like you say gotta watch other sites and I finally was forced to because thieves stole your site that almost made me quit carving so I watched other sites I guess it was a good thing out of a bad thing ,, carry on!
