UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal shed light on his interactions with Jake Paul and how a potential fight was blocked. Masvidal explained that although Paul tried to entice him to fight for $10 million, it wasn't practical as he is contracted to UFC. He speculated this was possibly more about self-promotion. Masvidal appreciated Paul's decision to abandon his past life and venture into boxing, noting that the sport helped Paul leave behind Hollywood and its associated lifestyle. However, he admitted he didn't particularly like Paul's style or regard him as a significant figure in boxing. He suggested Paul was afraid to fight in MMA and doubted he would have the conditioning required for the sport.

@@titans360ify not when you’re under non compete clauses and the other types of contracts these guys are under. Because of sponsorships they are essentially working 24/7, every time they leave the house they are a walking ad for the UFC, and that’s part of their pay. It would be like Larry Bird playing for the Celtics on Monday night, and then the Lakers on Thursday.

Jake Paul is a clown. His 1st match was against a 5'5 retired NBA player with no boxing background at all. The only match he had with an actual boxer he lost. Jake is all hype.

@@ehbrazzy2845 that Usman fight was a main event title fight though. The guy has three straight losses as of now and we can’t judge him off his prior value when he could get fights like those. The ufc doesn’t have a payday like that ready for him again currently, but he could get a similar one with Jake. It makes perfect financial sense for him, especially since he’ll get a great press tour and recirculate his name again.
