So if I wanted to transition this to FC24, would any of the CDMs be DLPs? Everything else seems like it would be pretty standard (wingers coming back and cutting inside, striker staying forward and getting behind, mixed attack on the fullbacks who overlap)

Does anyone know how to make other teams change formations in career mode? I am currently playing year 2 in career mode and I want other teams to change tactics and formations to make it interesting.

Mourinho used 41212 system with Cambiaso, Stankovic,Zanetti and Sneider in the midfield . Eto'o and Milito as strikers. IRL is not fifa. That's how he won Champions league twice 4312 with Porto and 4312 with Inter Milan.
