Eierlopen herinner ik me uit mijn jeugd. Of zo'n spel waarbij je met zijn tweeën ergens heen moest lopen met een ballon tussen de buiken geklemd.

That was a fun video. Seeing games I did when I was a child. Koekhappen en spijkerpoepen for a birthday party entertainment. Bliklopen as a pasttime and sjoelen as a more general game. All low cost befitting the era but a load of fun. Also for the people watching. Loved the video. Keep it up.... Greetz Ronald.

By sjoelen we always had extra rules: 1. If you can reach the disc with your hand under the beam, you where alowed to use it again. 2. You could make stapels of 5 in the hokjes and you could count them as 10 points. 3. You could go a second time with everything that didn’t go into the hokjes.

Never heard about the first game with ontbijtkoeken. In Belgium that game is done with apples (sometimes covered in honey or sirop to make it harder).

Ik wist niet eens dat er een puntensysteem was bij sjoelen. Wij telden op precies dezelfde manier. Wel een leuke video met al die oude spelletjes. Doet terug denken aan oude koninginnedagen 😂

Heb je in elk van 1 een steen, dan krijg je tien bonuspunten. In elk 2 stenen, dan krijg je 20 bonuspunten en ga zo maar door. Dat maakt het sjoelen leuker omdat je dan niet alleen maar voor de 4 gaat.

It's something they do in England too. I actually know this from an Agatha Christienovel in which a kid get's murdered in this. I never could see applehapping the same since I read it.

classic King's Day games (maybe except for the balloon-game, but others are true classics)... with regards to playing Shuffleboard, my mother literally outlawed it to be played inside due to the amount of, well, aggression that went into playing it... my family is rather competitive and after breaking two large windows in a span of 2 weeks (same window, almost width of the house) my mother decreed we were only allowed to play it outside all the way in the back of the backyard...

I believe the 1 & 4 & last games are now more often play then the with balloon or the nail game mostly the last game is most famous one

When you shuffle the sjoelen, then it's handy making a bit of a scratch with it in the wooden sjoelbak - it goes better. Like stretching the legs before and after running...
