I like that they played this right after Cecil found out that Carlos wasn't dead. It's so calm. Calm like after a huge storm.

They had a song by Joseph Fink in the first episode, and One Year Later. I know that was obvious, but I just found it so touching.
@BaronVonHoovy8 жыл бұрын
+My Krogen That might be because Joseph Fink is also one of the creators of Welcome to Night Vale.

+BaronVonHoovy Bit unnecesary to point out given that you always listen to him at the beggining of the podcast.

I haven't listened to WTNV in a few years, but my partner and I bonded over it a lot, and this song reminds me of our relationship so much, I listen to it all the time. Just a wonderful oasis of calm warmth together, never wanna do anything else.

When I was younger, I used to be severely depressed and suicidal. Sometimes, when I was much younger, I would sit in my closet and pull this episode and song up. It used to calm me during the worst fits. It’s nice to have it recommended again, after 10 years.

The heart of love is patience And this coffee that I'm making And you 'Cause outside kids are breaking On rocks of their own making And we are breathing easy And seeing clear I guess if I wanted to move now I could Yes I know the leaves are changing But I don't find that image interesting Right now 'Cause even as time's moving It's just you in different clothing And we are breathing easy And seeing clear I guess if I wanted to move now I could And if this blanket moves at all We'll be back in time's free fall We'll lose So hold on tight to last night Denial wrapped in morning light We choose With arms and hearts and leftovers And barely watched TV shows We soothe I guess get dressed, rejoin the mess But I think about that less and less With you Yes I feel the future looming And the tide of time subsuming And you 'Cause the warmth from your body makes this A Sunday morning stasis And we are breathing easy And seeing clear I guess if I wanted to move now I could

+Hayley Wright There's a site called "Videograbby" that lets you either download youtube videos via URL or you download just their Audio. I use it to download songs like this that don't have actual downloads, it's pretty useful. Just thought you might like to know.

now that i've been listening to this show almost since its beginning, and i've grown so attached to the story and the creators, and especially now that joseph and meg have a book coming out about their first 10 years together i just can't help but think he wrote this song thinking about meg and i think that's so fucking cute
