Joseph Prince often claims that there are “secrets” in the Hebrew language which support his teachings. However, these “secrets” are based on false or misleading claims about the Hebrew language. In one sermon, Joseph Prince claims that the Hebrew word for “wealth” is contained in the Hebrew word for “tithe”, and teaches that the secret to wealth is tithing. In another sermon, he explains the meaning of the Hebrew letters in the Hebrew word for “tithe”.
Asher Chee has studied Classical (Biblical) Hebrew with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, as well as Ancient Greek and Latin at the University in Southampton. He has a Master’s degree in Jewish and Christian History. He is currently a PhD researcher at the University of Southampton, focusing on Jewish and Christian History. His research requires him to be proficient in Classical Hebrew, Ancient Greek, and Latin, so as to read ancient Jewish and Christian texts in their original languages.

Even if what Joseph Prince says is true that the word asar is in Ma'aser, does not necessitate that Giving Tithe will make you Rich in Money. That's like in Chinese - 钱 (money) is in the term 给钱（give money), sure the 钱 is in 给钱 but how can we jump from the conclusion that give money will make you rich in Money. Although I do have to qualify, Tithing, while not explicitly required by the laws under the new testament, God nonetheless loves a cheerful giver and will bless the ones who are willing to part with their money for the furtherance of His Kingdom but God didn't promise in every instance that we part with our money, God will bless us with more money. God will not shortchange us, YES, absolutely. but God may not give you blessings in monetary form, there are more important blessings from God than money because there are things that money cannot buy.

All those who are there are just clamouring for wealth, money, success with their tongue sticking out salivating...Now in Jesus, there are 2 group types of people following him around at every opportunity everyday. One group are those genuinely seeking Him. Another group is only after the free food, free show, etc to satisfy their selfish desires but when it comes to real commitment demanded by Jesus, they flee... Same with these folks, they are no different from those group i mentioned as well as those who attend some multi level marketing seminars to earn fast wealth n money... This particular jp session sounded exactly like one of those MLM seminars...he's telling them God wants you to be rich, wealthy, healthy...grab it !!

Joseph Prince's understanding of the Biblical Hebrew are just plain horrendous. Shows much ignorance to the Word of God, twisting it for his own greed and further leading people into cheap grace. You don't need to understand Hebrew to know this guys is twisting the language, just like how understand does not mean under stand (compound words). There are so many more languages with magnificent and deeper meanings, but without understanding of it, anyone can be fooled. I seriously think Joseph Price need to re-take Biblical Hebrew 101....But most importantly, repent before Jesus Christ for preaching another gospel.

I left NCC in 2019 after 8years of listening to (half truths) false teachings of Joseph Prince. The half truths he taught on being saved by Grace helped me and probably helps many people....but that is because of God’s mercy & grace, not because Prince is not a false teacher. Eventually, he pulls hearts away from the true Christ. To him, Christ is just a means to an end...and the end is still ourselves. Everything then turns out to be idolatry and not true saving faith in Christ. I may not agree with Rev. Ong & Asher on everything...but those are secondary things. I believe they desire to stay faithful to God and His Word. And they teach the Gospel...Christ as the end Himself and not just a means to get what our deceiving hearts covet. And finally, some brothers have been given boldness to stand against the false teachings of Prince that leads many to hell. Not for the fainthearted. Praying for these brothers. Praying for Prince’s repentance. And may people esp my friends who are still in NCC will be called out by God and join a Biblical Church who persevere in the Gospel. 🙏🏼

There was never a biblical tithe received from earned monetary wages. The Prosperity Gospel elevates the few and exploits the many. We are free to give, but not bound to pay, as many would have us believe.

Using God's name in vain, God's words in vain, God's prophecies in vain, God's gift in vain, .. are the strongest traits (fruits) of a false prophets. Joseph Prince really knows how to do it with no sin conscience. He is so full of righteous conscience that he would do anything as though God speaks to him about everything. However, does God speak to him most of the time? Obviously his failure to hear God properly proves that he didn't hear from God at all. If he didn't hear from God, whatever he promises in the name of God or in the name of grace are all in vain. 2Co 6:1 KJV We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

Joseph Prince keeps saying that he preaches only the 'pure' grace or the gospel of grace; not the prosperity gospel, gold, transfer of wealth, or any adulterated gospel. He insists that he focuses only on the preaching of salvation of the sinners. However, most of his 'sinners' would remember that he had preached prosperity as though it is THE GOSPEL kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fZZmksd0y-DUoJs.html in this link here, and that he not only radically seek for it; but deceitfully focused on it and convinced his 'sinners' to 'tithe' (to him, to God, to Jesus, to his church, to his ministry, or to whoever). I can't believe that that is just what he called 'seek ye first the kingdom of God; I believe that that is just a lie.

I knew a few very well off diehard followers of JP. They are wealthy and highly educated, some are senior academics in tertiary institutions. They told me no harm as long as it works for them. They had their wealth and gain met. Nothing illegally done. What is the problem they asked. Realistically all are created by GOD to test and help us, they said. JP is GOD creation isn't it. Why bother, they emphasize the importance of being financially sound as actual proof of the faith and live well. Interesting reply.
