It's kind of gross how much image and personal relationships matter in something that's supposed to be entirely skill based. You would think that when this guy fails to perform at the high level you would expect of an esports competitor that it would be game over for his esports career. But it's like people forget about the actual reality of his skill set because he managed to get on the news, is associated with Perel, has an ostensibly good resume (that is mostly lies), etc.

Hello, ex-ACC nerd here to provide some insight. In this comparison, Josh Martin runs a 1.44.5. I pulled up some of my old MoTec data and I have paid for the setups for the Ferrari GT3 EVO at Imola. Because of this, I know the telemetry and run data for the CDA setups and their advertised reference time is a 1.41.241. Not to mention him being 3s off anything close to eSports pace, his tire pressures aren't even in the correct 27.6-27.8 PSI window (you can still change pressures in hot lap mode) so it seems as if he lacks simulator understanding as well. Bottom line here is, if he was eSports ready, all of the factors I mentioned shouldn't even matter. Most pros could probably pull off a 1.43ish without even remotely trying.

I pulled a 142.8 and I was considered a lower midfield and midfield on my best tracks. I raced with guys that would it 140s and less. Now there isn't anything wrong with a 1:44.5 that is really good, and to any driver I'd tell them to keep at it and keep up the good work. Heck my friend started with his first sim and was hitting 2:04s at Monza, and I was proud of him and told him to keep working on the basics. He's now hitting 1:51s and getting closer to a quicker pace! Maybe he knows how to make connections/has connections? I know there are sponsored Fanatec/Thrustmaster even people sponsored by F1 teams that are way slower than me and even slower than the aliens that coach me. Props to them, I probably can learn to market and connect better lol.

I’m not quite seeing “The Bust”….we all have tracks/cars that are our Achilles Heal. I see the strategy here…he’s gambling on the low downforce for the vs a higher downforce losing speed on the straights…you see decisions like this in real world racing…alllll the time. I dunno…I say good for him if he’s able to get the sponsors…not sure why be obsessing over this 🤔 I get you’re trying to make it on KZfaq with your channel but it’s appears..and I say appears…that you’re obsessing on something that really when you get to meat and potatoes…is just a game that’s supposed to be fun. Calling out someone on KZfaq like this…It seems like you’re becoming the person you that you speak about in other videos. To be clear..as fellow Canadian, I want to seeing Canadians involved and producing content…representing Canada, as all we see are Americans and UK representations…you have a talent to offer…imho it’s not making videos like this….really who gives a rats ass what or who someone else’s sponsors are 🤔..just comes across as being petty.
