One thing that Josh and Ollie had actually discussed in a video (can't remember which one) is that while Ollie's persona is very sarcastic, quirky and seemingly all over the place, behind the camera and/or professionally and in their personal lives, he's actually the more pragmatic of the two and is very much a micromamanager and perfectionist. Ollie's actually usually BEHIND the camera for the majority of their Korean Englishman videos and making sure everything runs smoothly; they've mentioned a number of time Josh would do something unexpected during a filming or change the flow of an interview and Ollie would be panicking off camera. 🤣 From a creative, sense of humor and entertainment perspective, Ollie's the one more willing to push boundaries and make risky decisions. From an everyday/general perspective however, Josh is actually a lot more easygoing and a much bigger risk-taker. You also realize after watching many videos that Ollie's not as "dumb" as he makes himself out to be (for our entertainment). His humor can be very sharp and smart, he regularly ask questions that are engaging, his responses can be very thoughtful and he often doesn't hesitate to call others out on their wrongdoings (he's made regular hilarious quips at England about colonization and such). He seems very knowledgeable about many historical events and social issues (whether they're England-related or not) and it'll regularly slip out naturally in conversations they have with guests on the Jolly channel. The guy's much more smarter than he makes himself out to be; I think he even often underestimates himself unfortunately. Ollie's also a father and of what we've seen so far of his daughter, his wife and him seem to be great parents. Ollie even expressed some guilt at not being able to spend more time with his daughter and thus changed his work schedule to be with her more. Yeah if you haven't noticed: I have a soft spot for Ollie and his family. 😅

Ollie is literally Josh’s second wife. Ollie says it himself all the time 😂 Gotta love their relationship ❤ EDIT: Even though Ollie claims that he is the first wife 😂

The craziest thing about the this pair is you said Josh seems to have the "director" role fo the two, but that's not really true. Ollie definitely has a goofy side that is showcased when he's in front of the camera, but he's typically behind the camera and doing a lot of behind the scenes "serious stuff." You see it here and there but he knows when to turn it on and off. Great pair.

I honestly really envy Ollie for his confidence to throw himself into uncomfortable situations to learn and connect and grow. I have so much insecurity about getting things wrong that it feels crippling sometimes and Ollie really balances humor and sincerity in a really lovely way that I haven't seen a lot online.

There's literally "You're an idiot" merch (don't know whether it was officially released or not) plus a compilation of Josh telling Ollie that he's an idiot 😂. He's told him that so many times. So the one time the tables turned, and Ollie said it to Josh, that was genuinely a big day 🤣

it's funny that you said that because you have a foundation of love and respect in a bond like theirs, ''you can say, 'you're an idiot' '' when Ollie literally got Josh a tshirt or cap(i don't recall exactly) saying ''you're an idiot'' because he always says that to Ollie I hope you check out more of their stuff on Jolly as well, Ollie puts SO much effort into his gifts and into whatever he's preparing, in general

Ollie in Korea shows how much communication is more than words. Never really thought about it until this series a few years ago even though we talk about nonverbal communication, you don’t really notice it until the verbal stuff is removed

Not sure if you've heard of it but there's a Swedish Netflix show called "Young Royals" that has blown up over the past couple of years (it's amazing btw, highly recommend watching it if you want some good storytelling and great acting with subtle social commentary) partially due to the on and off screen chemistry between the two main actors, Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg. Edvin is very young (only 19 at the moment) but is a super experienced and gifted actor while Omar is an older, very seasoned singer/performer with this being his debut acting role, and i think that makes for a super fun and interesting dynamic that would be lovely to see you analyze at some point! You really should check out the Jolly episodes where they take identical twins 'Rev Chris' & 'Major Charles' to a Korean army base. The four of them together is so funny that the people who couldn't understand a letter of English were crying with laughter. I didn't even notice what I was doing whilst knitting at the same time and had to start over, they pull you in so easily that you just can't help it.
