Ty Simpson had the best scrimmages and A day. I like his pocket presence and command of the offense. He had a few TD drives, and he makes multiple reads before throwing. We have 3 good QB’s. Roll tide

Just FYI both Jaheim Otis and Jihaad Campbell were absent Saturday with injuries. That contributed to the soft defense.

On the grass, the ESPN announcers literally explained what it was. They replaced the sod again this season to install 12-month grass due to the possibility of hosting playoff games. I guess Josh didn’t listen to that part lol.

I think you always provide great analysis. One thing I will say about Bama is for the first time in a while they have 2-3 legit, high end NFL RBs. Reminds me of Damien, Najee and Jacobs. If that Oline can stay healthy, that combination will be a problem.

What is every Bama fans obsession with Ty Simpson starting over Milroe? This offense very clearly belongs to Milroe… the guy beat undefeated Georgia in the SEC championship and took Michigan to overtime, and not to mention he was catching bad snaps every play. I like Ty but he clearly needs more time. As Bama fans we don’t need to create a rivalry between the two. Let’s get behind Milroe this season and cheer on Ty next season I have a feeling Deboer’s system is going to make both QB’s lethal

"Alabama can run the ball to win games." So, just like the Bear Bryant days, or the Gene Stallings days -- or even the Nick Saban days circa the early 2010s. Nothing's changed on that front. (In the game against Miami that won Gene Stallings' team a natty, Alabama passed for 18 yards and ran for 256. Talk about running the ball to win a game...)

Jalen Milroe can run and throw pretty damn good and he doesn't get enough credit. He didn't have a decent center hiking him the ball last year plus he was running for his life b-cuz the offensive line was weak. ROLL TIDE ROLL FOREVER AND ALWAYS!!!

I think Ty has a higher ceiling, Milroe has a higher floor. That being said I believe Milroe will start the season as the starter. But will see there are a lot of practices for both of them to show how much they have improved sense last year.

Hey Josh I seen something in Ty Simpson that i seen in Mac Jones in 2019 A day game. Not saying he will elvove like Mac did. But his foot work and throws have me excited for the future. Mac with better wheels sound awesome. What's your opinion.

If anybody had those top 4 WRs or 5, we would be impressed by the way they handled the offense. Even McElroy would have looked like Garcia from S.Carolina in 2010 for a game every single week.

Oatis didnt play. keenan,Latham,Payne,+Tim Smith are what they are. They are pieces that can be used in limited snaps with Keenan possibly the best. 1-2 of these names I mentioned are adios. THE Tide has plenty of help on their roster unless they leave. James Smith is a potential shit wrecker. As is Edric Hill,LT Overton,Jordan Renaud,and Keon Keeley. I have thought for weeks THE TIDE would only bring in 1 difference maker inside. Now I believe they will bring in 2...BTW they got more physical and efficient as the scrimmage went on. Renaud didnt play. Oatis didnt play.And starting ILB Jihaad Campbell didnt play. And this secondary is absolutely loaded with speed and talent. Just lack overall experience. For that reason I do believe they bring in at minimum 1 Impact CB..... This place is going to be terrific upfront offensively!!! A LOT of experience at TE...The RB room is outstanding(as good as anyones)-even though something obviously happened to Haynes Saturday. The QB thing is still WAYYYYYYYYY up in the air. And the WR room will see a quick addition in the Portal(I have 2 names)to go along with Ryan Williams arriving in June,plus the talented guys they already have in Bernard,Law,Prentice,Odom,+ Adams.And the 3 freshmen Hampton,Jefferson,+Scott. Hale is going to be gone most of the season per McCleroy....A big loss....

I guess you have to pick something negative to talk about lol.. kinda hard to say the defense looked bad when it didn't matter how many times you get stops on those 3rd and shorts you were talking about that Offense was staying out there every time or a fresh Offense was coming out. THE FORMAT WAS HARD ON THE DEFENSE FOR A REASON. 😂😂😂😂now every sports panel Bro is saying "alabamas D didn't look good". Lol did anyone actually watch and understand the WHOLE ENTIRE spring game??????

Yes, And Alabama's Defense didn't look good on the first few plays.. hard for me to believe that they were tired before the game ever started. I understand that the defense was vanilla, but there honestly was a lack of effort during most of the tackling in the first half.

Like I said if you watched the whole scrimmage you would understand what this bama D will become. So not a need for all this dissecting of the DEFENSE as a whole or the OFFENSE as a whole because defensively they ran like 3 out of 16 packages and didn't Blitz so you saw nothing.

@@leerobertsiv447I wouldn’t be surprised either way, but he has stuck around so far, even after Milroe was declared the starter last season, and he stuck around when DeBoer was named HC. He’s had plenty of opportunities to leave and hasn’t so far. However Lonegran is really good as well so we are good at QB.

@stephenscuba6284 clap for mediocrity all you'd like... 3-9 isn't an accurate qb. One drop that is more on ball placement than wr catching ability. A wr making a play and the yards he produces after the catch doesn't say anything for the qbs accuracy which is the whole point of the 3-9. He's a qb there is no match up issues when you don't have to respect his ability to throw. Bama won games in spite of him last year not because of him. Ofc he stayed loyal there was next to no market value for him. He would've went from bama to unlv which is a big downgrade you're acting as if he could've went in any other big time d1 program and been anything but a clipboard holder

From what I’ve seen of Jalen Milroe he’s doing the same mistakes he done last year he Locks on one receiver I just don’t believe he’s got the mindset to play quarterback he was sacked 45 times last year ran past the scrimmage line throwing passes it’s obvious I am not a Jalen Milroe fan of him being the quarterback he would be an outstanding running back

If it's any consolation, I don't think they win more than 8 or 9 games with any qb in Crimson Tide history. 6 wins should be a given. Lose 1 they shouldn't or Win 1 they shouldn't and it's 7 or 9,; respectively. 8 with a lot of optimistic chatter for next season to just make the playoffs again will be the talking point topic this time next season.
