Protecting your capital is much more important than making money. Basically because if you lose your capital, making money is much harder. ''Missing the train'' vs. ''losing your money''. There are a lot of trains, but if your money is gone, it's over.

Wall Street pitched so-called quality stocks with high profitability and low debt, as a kind of insurance against whatever the economy might throw at you. Quality stocks have underperformed the S&P500 this year, My $200k portfolio is down by approximately 20 %, any recommendations to scale up my returns on investment

I've just completed the sale of a property located in Portland and I'm considering reallocating the resulting funds into the stock market. Despite prevailing sentiments regarding its readiness, I'm unsure about the timing of stock purchases. How long until we witness a full market recovery? Furthermore, I'm puzzled by the methods allowing others in the same market to achieve gains surpassing $200k within months.

Inflation depreciates idle money. I'm in a privileged position to be able to save almost 65% of our net household income, as I placed it on safer investments. The key for us was not spending beyond our means. If you invest and have other sources of income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends. Got north of $200K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further

The main problem is that most folks don’t care about anything other than football, Basketball and Music etc. They find it normal to take credit card debt which will cost them 20percent per year but considers it risky to invest their money and make 10percent or more per month. Learning to avoid high interest debt while also learning how to put your money to work for you by investing is a very powerful combo

Great side hustle tips. One point though regarding the review videos; please don't encourage people to buy items (especially from small businesses selling on Amazon) just to review and return them. From a small business owner's perspective, it ends up costing us money because the profit margins are usually thin. We have to cover shipping to and from the customer and then we end up with a product we can't resell. You are basically taking money out of a small business owners pocket and they have no recourse. I never knew this until I saw the business side of things.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. It's not that you're doing anything wrong; it's just that you don't have the knowledge to profit in a down market. The only individuals who may earn greatly during tumultuous times like these are experts with considerable knowledge who must have observed the 2008 catastrophe. Their whole skill set is based on trading long and short at the same time, using profit-driven strategies and reducing risk as a buffer against unavoidable downtrends, thus they are well-suited to do so.

My belief is that making a wise investment is a fantastic way to save money for the future as well as a way to generate passive income. Those who make poor mistakes early in life regret them later in life. But, if done alone, investing may be challenging and risky. For this reason, I suggest consulting experts for advice (financial advisors). The difficulty lies in effectively employing it, not just watching videos and reading investing books.

I wouldn’t listen to what these other people told you, they may know what they’re talking about are not giving you good advice. If you aren’t investing for retirement and are looking to day trade, there are tons of videos on KZfaq to help you get starts and put yourself in a good position. However, if retirement is what you’re investing for, I would look into low risk index funds which cover a very broad market, these have consistently shown to give investors a return on their money year over year, there are many different index funds to choose from so you should put a little research into this before you get started. With the current state of the market, you should only be investing money that you don’t plan on needing for the next 10-20 years because within that time period, if you are regularly buying shares of index funds you are almost guaranteed to see a return on your investment. If you plan to invest for the future, now is actually an incredible opportunity to get started investing. It may suck to see you investments lose money in the short term, but if you stick it out for the long run, this investment strategy has a very high likelihood of growing the money you started with. Hope this helps and best of luck!

I don't consider renting passive income unless you have professional property management. Most people who rent don't count their time and effort needed just to make a tiny return on their massive investment. For example, you invest $599,000 to buy a second home and rent it out for $3000 a month. Let assume you are cash flow positive on the property and you make $1000 a month or $12,000 a year. What would your annualized return be? 2 percent on the entire amount. Now, you can argue that your return is much higher since you only put down $120,000 on the property. However, you are on the hook for the full $600k regardless of what the future FMV of the house is. Furthermore, people assume that their home will always appreciate in value however, this is a false assumption you can make. In the best case, you will gain some capital appreciation thanks to the central bank increasing the money supply, however, if inflation heats up, you can see your property actually start to lose money in real terms. This is because there is an inverse relationship between housing and nominal interest rates. The central bank will attempt to slow down inflation with higher interest rates and curb lending. We haven't seen inflation in a big way but we can see all the massive stimulus money that the government is pumping turn into inflation while taxes will be hiked to pay for all the COVID spending, your best choice is to look into *VRI TOKEN* Its more profitable.

Credit score is not something used in all countries though. In France, they determine if you are eligible to get a loan (e.g., to buy a house) based on the ratio between your salary, your expenses and your savings. Basically, if every month you 'burn' all your money, you're perceived as riskier than someone earning less but consistently making deposits to a saving account. I feel in the US people tend to buy things they don't need with money they don't have... The only times I feel one should need a credit is when buying 'big' things (house, car, etc.). Not for a TV. I’m 26 with over 800 credit score, time was put into that to build it up by MYSTICFLIP

I've been in the carpenters union for 8 years in nyc. Did the apprenticeship and honestly the apprenticeship was the only time I worked consistently. The moment I became toppay, I started getting laid off from jobs after a few months or so then sitting out of work for months until the next one. The union is dying, at least in NYC and surrounding areas. They have introduced a pay scale for carpenters where a LOT of us are making a fraction of what we should be making. I wouldnt do it, as someone who went through the whole process, graduated and is now an out of work Journeyman. I would suggest switching to the Electricians Apprenticeship. They make a lot less comparing apprenticeship wages and their schooling is much more strenuous than the carpenters, but they stay employed, make a little more as a journeyman and dont have the "push" on the jobsites that carpenters have. They are treated as humans, carpenters are treated like slaves, unless you are related to one of the higher-ups.

The first thing to do is get a business license from your city, and register your business with your state. Then report your income to the IRS. It’s part of being in business. The IRS is looking to target side hustlers who don’t pay taxes, and you don’t want to be on their radar.

Another good way to make money is if you work in retail and have an employee discount card, always keep up with clearance items or things that have a significant discount because you can use you're discount to get an even cheaper item that you could flip. I've been flipping bbq grills and pressure washers locally for the past month and making a good $150-300 per week for the past 2 months. So far so good!
@Hern_Media
@Hern_Media Жыл бұрын
@Joseph Ferrell I used to work at Walmart too. I started off with Star Wars, & Creator Expert Lego sets. Particularly the ones closest to “retiring.” They go on clearance, and you could save about 30% with clearance price + your discount. The Aftermarket prices after 2-3 months could double or triple your wallet. But you have to do your research and see what’s in demand.

On etoro you can copy other investors. You can put in a certain amount, and you will copy any of their trades with the same % with what you had added. The current minimum trade you can copy is $2 so you need to put in around $600 to copy all of a person's trades. Has anyone tried this? What are the fees like? It seems like a good way to copy someone who has time to do DD on stocks, crypto etc.

The limit was so small lol but I took it and worked on it. Because if that it helped my credit and I believe that’s what made me finally get approved for navy fed with such a high limit. they're still working on increasing the capital one since it was so low. All in all I’m satisfied.
