@@dennisp8520 just fear of messing things up, or not doing a good enough job, or that people won’t like your cooking, and all of this summed up to a person whose never been educated in the kitchen (possibly put off by over protective parents because “the fire is dangerous”) and has anxiety and other mental issues… it’s very understandable that someone can be afraid of cooking.

@@MarceloZ2 I mean my parents were overprotective about cooking with me I didn’t ever touch a stove until middle school. I live by myself and cook some simple things for myself. I mostly bake stuff in the oven because it’s more convenient and because my house has a smoke detector that likes to go off if I ever try to cook any meats on the stove top. If something doesn’t turn out perfect it’s not a big deal I just eat it and try again. Over time I got really good at making like 20 dishes which is enough variety. Now there are something’s that I’m lazy with, specifically when it comes to cooking vegetables like Brussel sprouts. I absolutely love them but I’m very very lazy and so will often times just get those precooked from my local grocery store to save time/effort.
