After seeing this, I’m more aware of how the arts intersect. The choreography of the hand motions remind me of both watching the same flowing motions of a ballet, the phrasing of singers, and the brush strokes of the calligrapher. With this level of concentration, it feels like the composer is in the room with you. Very inspiring. Thank you 🙏

Also I like how the camera is closer to him now. It feels more intimate and almost like an in-person piano lesson.

Nice microphone! It really helps to listen better to the piano, I was watching old videos and the sound quality was very bad. Thank you so much :)

Phrasing always goes along with some gradual crescendos at the beginning and diminuendos at the end of a phrase. 😊

this is exactly what my professor taught me for the last lesson: thinking fingers as an extension of your arm, focus on the rotation movement of hand

Thank you so much for this video. Despite of not the same pieces you gave examples for here, Would you please explain how to SHAPE the 2 phrases that contain the exact SAME note being the last note of the 1st phrase, yet at the same time as the beginning of the 2nd phrase? Thanks

Hi Josh ! I'm a big fan of your work ! Thanks for the content, just a litte remark with the new microphone, to me the piano sounds very much muffled. I don't know i f you were playing with soft pedal all along this video but it sounds like it. And just a little tease, but the Nocturne op 27 n°2 has a tempo mark of 50 the dotted quarter note, which is very very much faster than what you played here :D ! By the way it was always an enigma to me, why Chopin wrote this unplayable tempo for this piece that doesn't fit to the character of it. Thanks again !

Hey @josh, a little suggestion about the new 🎙, I think the sound of previous videos is good enough, and I didn’t recognize the improvement with the new mic. But the visible big mic has distracted me a lot. It would be nicer Either remove the mic or hide it from the camera. Will always support you @Josh.
