Another great video, I would love to see a video with the Match DSP using the OEM set up and the Match adapter the cable with the factory amplifier. On this you have to use all the inputs, in my case 9 along with the MEC analog in module. I think I know where to cross over all the factory passive mids and tweeters but what I would really like to know how to do is set my factory subs to be mid bass left and right and send subwoofer frequencies to the line out using a separate amplifier. If anyone knows if this is possible, please share. Thanks.

Great video! Quick question. For the very first step setting gain sensitivity do you use a 1k 0db tone or mono pink noise?
@JosiahBuwalda5 ай бұрын
The only time we used a 1k tone in our vehicles was gain matching amplifiers, assuming there were multiple in play. Pink noise and a microphone for the rest.
@daveroski5 ай бұрын
@@JosiahBuwalda yeah the manual says first step to test the input sensitivity if it’s less than 4 volts I believe to play pink noise 0 db.
@daveroski5 ай бұрын
@@JosiahBuwalda so do you not set your input sensitivity gains? and leave them at Min? If you do, do you use 0db pink noise?

Hey Josh, I have 2017 BMW 330xi with HiFi sound, I have upgraded speakers, under seat subwoofers from bimmertech and also upgraded Amp with Bimmertech pp86dsp, I am not sure how to setup dsp for my sound setup, I would just need help about my setup. Thanks
@JosiahBuwalda2 жыл бұрын
Yea unfortunately unless they make a preset on the Audiotec Fischer website you’ll end up paying a tuner to setup and tune your car. Unless you figure it all out

Thanks for the vid. I just installed a P SIX and the software was quite overwealming at first. This helped me quite abit for the initial setup. I do have a question.. I have a legatia l12sw hooked to channels E and F for each coil. I basically have it setup exactly like this except i have Subwoofer1 selected for channels E and F. Is this the correct way to set it up? Thanks again
@JosiahBuwalda2 жыл бұрын
Yea the name of the channel is labeling and is just there for you to know what channel goes to which speaker. It doesn’t do anything to the channel It’s all in how you setup the crossovers.
@kennynguyen26322 жыл бұрын
@@JosiahBuwalda Perfect thanks for the explanation.. Ill keep those two channels linked to make sure xovers is identical between the channels. I'm playing around with it now and I'm quite impressed with the p six and sub in IB setup

Is there a way to change the subwoofer channel on the right of the IO settings screen to a full range output.
@JosiahBuwalda2 жыл бұрын
Sure. This page is just for labeling and directing the signal. If you bypass the crossover for the subwoofer then it’s full range.

@@JosiahBuwalda Thank you kindly for your reply, Josiah. I was excited to see a Helix DSP post and didn't realize your DSP is different than mine. I have the Helix M Four. I will look again and try this. Thank you

Hi Josiah. I have a match 8 dsp and want to know if I can run just a virtual center only in the match software. I have a pic of the IO setup IM using 6 channels in and going full range to the FL FR RR RL sub1 sub2 and then 50/50 fr fl output to virtual E. Any tips or help would be great.

Unfortunately I’m not sure. I haven’t used the Match dsp in quite a while

@@JosiahBuwalda fyi it’s the same format as the helix in your video. Thanks for the response
@JosiahBuwalda Жыл бұрын
@@johncooke7191 Yes all the format is identical the GUI is the same across the board for all audio Tech Fisher products. The difference is the match is Meant More for OEM switch out stuff so the features and what the DSP allows you to do is what I’m unfamiliar with

on m5dsp you cant change the IO ?
@JosiahBuwalda2 жыл бұрын
I wanna say no. Most of the Match stuff is made specific to just add power/dsp to a stock system and using one of the Audiotec Fischer harnesses

Did you ever email me?
@icmeinu2day7 жыл бұрын
I did, and you replied, on April 4th. I since purchased ScanSpeak Limited Edition D2604/8320-02 1" Textile Dome Tweeter, and the Alpine KTP-445A 4-Channel Head Unit Power Pack Amplifier Class D/ Alpine KTP445 for power. I've got to make pods for the tweets and install the amp. Hopefully will get it done early next week. I'll keep checking videos for tips on setting up an active 3way
