Most of the southerners in India wear a dhoti or lungi (a coloured dhoti type wear). Due to the climatic conditions prevailing in these parts of South of India, it feels good. The types of breakfast, lunch and dinner items change from state to state. The languages also differ and are so beautiful.

If you are in Kerala, it's not known for beaches but for places of natural beauty. So for example Munar-tea plantation-is a beautiful place to chill. Backwaters, must try the houseboats. If possible visit any village especially with coconut plantation, it's really beautiful. Again, if you are into that stuff. There are many hidden places as well, but you need local's help there.

@@dimiberba2374 i said in the context of tourism. There are many beeches in Mumbai as well but as far it goes for me, it's not touristy. I was in Europe for more than a year. And where they are from Australia, they have deep blue waters and better beaches so it makes less sense. But if you feel they should try, let them know. I said it from my limited knowledge of Kerala from my visits with my parents almost alternative summer vacation. I am a mallu just an FYI but born and brought up in Mumbai. But again, if anyone says beeches, the name that comes out is goa. Although, there are real good beeches in Maharashtra as well, which are not that busy. But again in the context where they are from might be a little underwhelming.

Kerala is the birthplace of martial arts. it is where the mother of all martial arts kalaripayattu was born. It's gaining in popularity because it uniquely combines defence techniques, dance, yoga and healing systems. various places in Kerala martial art is performed on stage you should see it's excellent. lots of people still think that martial art was invented in China. actually an Indian monk named Bodhidharma who brought Buddhism to China practiced kalaripayattu and he taught some of it's practice to his disciples in china.

So the banana fry you had is more akin to a plantain fritter...we just never made that distinction in the Malayalam language so both plantains and bananas are called banana. That said, I've had plantain here in Canada and let me tell you, compared to the kerala plantain, these plantains taste like potatoes. The kerala plantains are so much sweeter. Also, I'm surprised that you've only encountered the "onion doughnut" in Kerala so far because that's actually a very popular snack. While it looks like a doughnut its actually a wada, which is closer to a pakora. Its best eaten fresh when its insides are fluffy and outsides are crispy along with some coconut chutney or sambhar

The scarf like dress you saw them wearing is called 'Mundu'. The mundu (Malayalam: muṇṭŭ; pronounced [muɳɖɯ̽]) is a garment worn around the waist in the Indian states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, the Lakshadweep archipelago, and the Indian Ocean island nation of Maldives. It is closely related to sarongs like dhotis and lungis. It is normally woven in cotton and coloured white or cream. The colour is dependent on whether the cotton is bleached or unbleached. A khadaṟ muṇṭŭ is made using handlooms. When unbleached, the mundu is called nēriyatu. In modern times, two types of mundu are prevalent-the single and the double. A single mundu is wrapped only once around the waist, while the double one is folded in half before wearing. A mundu is usually starched before use.

The one you ate in the morning is "Pazhampori or Ethakkappam".. Its ripe banana covered in batter and fried in oil.. It's really sweet. The second thing that you ate in the street stall is "Baji", raw banana covered in batter and fried in oil and it's not sweet. There are a lot of varieties available like Mulakubaji (Green Chilli), Muttabaji (Egg), Kayabaji (Raw banana), Urulakkizhangubaji (Potato), Cauliflower baji etc. The dress that men wear is "Mundu" white in color. If it is colorful then it's called "Lungi". The orange colour vegetable is not melon and its "Vellarikka", it's a type of Cucumber in South India. There are lots of "Kulukki Sarbath" available and it's basically lime juice mixed with other flavors and it may be spicy or not. The one you drank is "Boost Kulukki" which consists of sugar syrup, icecream, boost and milk. If you travel in Kerala during the summer season it's really hot... You can visit hill stations during this time. Like Ponmudi, Munnar, Thekkady, Vagamon, Wyanad, Nelliyambathi etc. You can visit black waters in Alappuzha and Kottayam and try the famous "Karimeen Pollichathu" In my personal opinion you can choose some local restaurants and it may be cheaper or you can ask some local people and they will guide you to the place where you can find the best food... With lots of love from Kerala ❤❤❤

Yes it's very difficult to adjust to hot and humid condition in south India. How you are going about the blog makes interesting to watch.. Food culture of India is so rich and diverse. Every State has it's uniqueness. Yes you rightly said. We have not taken good care of our beaches. Since ancient times. India used sea shores for trading than recreation. We are trying to change it. Will take some time to reach some level. Wish you have a very happy and wonderful stay in India. STAY BLESSED ALWAYS. 🙏💐🇮🇳

Educated people is nothing to be highlighted, and educated people never boast that they are educated. There are better places across the world, which are beautyful than Kerala, and more well behaved and educated, your hospitality is just a basic thing every tourist from abroad expects, there is nothing to boast off if you can read English, if you mean when you say you are educated
