You pointing out the hands behind the back opened up a new way of looking at this card/a new insight/aspect of it! ( how fitting 😉 haha ) and it’s the energy of someone needing to put whatever they have in their hands down. Putting them ‘away’ so to speak and just OBSERVING the world around them. It forces us to refocus our attention on things outside our habitual fidgeting/work flow/routine. We are so easily distracted and preoccupied with our hands. Using them to drive, be on our phones, do Art, or a craft or a chore or writing, literally almost everything we do requires us to use our hands if you think about it. And what is there for us to do without them, especially if we can’t move either. It reminds me of a teacher making a hyper kid sit on their hands cause they can’t stop moving and touching stuff. Its like an unconscious compulsion, so having them tied behind our back forces us to just sit there and be present and focus on what’s around us cause there’s *nothing else we can do*. It also reminds me of when your out in public like at a bus stop or park or between classes and your phone dies and so your forced to preoccupy yourself by looking around and people watch. Which at first it’s uncomfortable and maybe a little embarrassing cause you have no fidgety outlet for your anxiety and aren’t used to it but then you settle in to being present and start looking around. And when you do, you realize just how preoccupied everyone is!! (And how no ones even paying attention to you or their surroundings). Haha it’s crazy. Thank you so much for sharing this!!

🙏🏽💙 My mom told me a story when she was pregnant with me where she was trying to get something from an old home that was sitting on a beam in the attic part where the ceiling was missing. The chair she used to get to the box she was curious about ended up falling and she had to catch herself and found herself hanging(upright) on a beam. She was by herself so her only option was to drop down. I felt that may explain some of my "Hanged Man" feeling in most circles😅 and why I end up just seeking seclusion. Also afraid of heights.

Last week I got the Hanged Man and two minutes later I tripped on the stairs and broke my foot. 😵 So now I am literally holding my foot up just like him, but right side up most of the time… 🥴
