Hey Paul! Thank you so much. And yeah, I recently started using Astia for most if my photos and I’m going to do a video on how I’m using it that should be up in about two weeks. Thanks for commenting and letting me know that you’d be interested in this type of video.

Nice one again. The XF10 is awesome. The X100V is my dream camera, but everytime I use the XF10 I wonder if I really need one. The only thing I miss here and there is a viewfinder.
@sarifoto
@sarifoto 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙏🏼. Yeah the xf10 is à or if fun. I also miss the viewfinder every now and again. As far as the x100v… before the x100v came out my dream camera was an x100f or an xe3. I now have both and I have to admit that I do cover the xe4 and the V. I’m regards to how they pertain to the xf10. I do go through phases where I will shoot exclusively with the x100f or the x100 original and I don’t touch my xf10 and then I go through other phases where the XF10 never leaves my side. For me it’s come down to feelings. The x100 series makes me feel like a traditional photographer which is a nice feeling and I love the process so much and then there are times when I don’t feel like a photographer or when I’m exhausted of the expectations I put on myself to get “good photographs” and during those phases the XF10 is perfect cause I just throw it in my pocket and then I become somewhat of a tourist and things just feel so effortless. Anyways, I’m sure if you get the V you’ll enjoy it but it’s really awesome that you have the Xf10 to enjoy in the meantime.

Congrats on your XF10. And thanks for letting me know that you’d be interested in a video on my current workflow for JPGs. I’m really enjoying this Astia look myself. I should have the video ready in two weeks. Have a great weekend and I’ll keep you posted on that video.

I have a little used (so far XF10) and would to see a video of your jpeg settings. I also want to thank you for these Journal videos. There is something soothing and magical about them that just adds to my well-being. Hard to describe really, so thanks again for producing these. They are so much more than a typical camera review.

Thanks so much Jeff!! I really appreciate you saying that and I’m glad you’re enjoying them. I’m still figuring stuff out but out of all of the stuff I’ve tried on the channel I enjoy making the journal episodes the most. Congrats on your XF10 and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine! Have a great day or evening and thanks again!

‘Meet me in St. Louis, Louis, Meet me at the fair, Don't tell me the lights are shining any place but there’… 🎠🎢🎡

I just saw the scene where they sing Meet me in St Louis. That’s so great! Makes me want to watch the whole movie. I’ve never seen it before but listening even to the way they talk makes me nostalgic which is probably why I enjoyed making this episode; the fair also makes me nostalgic and reminds me of a different time and era.

Ciao, quale ricetta hai usato per la foto al minuto 1.05? Complimenti davvero
@sarifoto
@sarifoto 8 ай бұрын
Ciao!!

Great shots! How did you get the date stamp on some of the images? I've been through the menu system a few times and have not found the settings as yet. Going to load up your Astia look next time I'm out.
@sarifoto
@sarifoto 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Simon, I just realized I never answered your question, I apologize for the delayed response. Go into the menu settings and scroll down to the blue menus. Number 2 to be specific. Under that menu go to the submenu or the option for “save data setup” and then select date stamp. It’s funny cause the only other camera that I have with this option is the X-A3 which is also another “entry” level Bauer sensor fuji. I wish my x100f or X-E3 had this option. Anyways, I hope this helps.

In the low light, are you setting the autofocus to zone focus (fixed focal point)?
@sarifoto
@sarifoto 3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yes, In the past I’ve always used autofocus at 2.8 for my night photos but on this day I was experimenting with zone focusing so I set my F stop to F8 in manual mode and my ISO at 12,8000 but only for the night shots at the end of the video. I also used snap mode at the end which is pretty much the same thing as zone focusing. All of the other photos during the day and even during purple hour were also shot in manual mode but the iso was set to auto and the camera would choose between 200-6400 iso. As far as distances, for a lot of the shots I switched the distances back and forth between 7ft at F8 and 15 ft at f8 as well. I also experimented with 4ft at f16 a bit as I’m currently trying to get closer. It’s something I’m still not very good at but I did mail my distances a lot more on this outing than I have in the past.

Bellissime immagini! Ciao Marco potresti dirmi i settaggi per favore?
@sarifoto
@sarifoto 2 жыл бұрын
Grazie mille Nik!
