Jeff!! Say what you want about how he may have fit with journey but he’s a great singer in his own right. It took total balls to sing with journey as everyone is compared to Perry. Check out Sons of Apollo . Jeff is probably best in the metal genre

It seems to forced when Jeff Scott sings Journey songs. He gets a little pitchy when hitting high notes. Little things I've noticed

I think this was much better for Journey at that time, Scott Soto has much more experience and has a great Voice, different to Perry's Voice and style, that is better than to have a singer that imitates all the way Steve Perry's voice...

@@michaelmauro9335I agree with you 100%! At times, I've seen more recent videos and however long they were, most of the time, Arnel did sound flawless, but others I would eventually hear a bad note. The more recent seemingly flawless parts made me wonder if he was using a vocal track and lip synching. Eventhough it was several years ago, with Journey Through Time, Deen proved that he can handle the load. And if they'd let Jason Derlatka sing more, the load would be somewhat lighter on Deen. Also, with JTT, Deen played drums almost the whole time with the exception of maybe one or two songs. Even with the positive things I said about Arnel, he'll have to go at some point unless the band members are at odds again over something and they break up or they decide that they've had enough and retire like the Eagles will apparently do at some point in 2025 unless they change their minds, which I doubt will happen when you have three long-time band members who are knocking on 80. Don, Joe and Timothy will all hit that mark in a few years.

Jeff is more in tune and soulful than Steve Agueri but he looks like they took him from another rock band.
