Nature lovers and horse lovers join us as we continue to train for our 100 mile race, the 2023 competitive season has started and we've entered our first competition!

Well done. I can relate to every bit of your ride as I am the same age and had the same issues with heat and hydration (mine, not the horse). As we get older you are right, we have to change our strategies to make it work. I am in New Zealand.

I also think with these long, long heat waves - not something I ever remember til recent history, that it gets much more difficult to manage myself on ride day. There is an “accumulation effect” that is much different from just riding through a hot day or two.
