Over 1000 people have died, and more than 100,000 have become refugees in their own land. India is no stranger to communal violence of this sort. But the difference in Gujarat is that, according to a number of experts, the violence is taking place with government backing: “The Gujarat state administration has been engaged in a massive cover-up of the state’s role in the massacres,” claims a report by Human Rights Watch.

I have to say the trigger behind the violence needs to be addressed. Muslims attacking Hindu Pilgrims cannot be overlooked. Also 250 Hindus died in Gujarat violence.

Why wasn't the documentery focused on the who started the riot? Where did they come from? What motivated them to take such an action that they burnt innocent victims to death including woman and children? 69 out 72 in the train compartment died. This documentary looks more politically biased although politics didn't have much to do with it?

Anonymous she mentioned how it started. She mentioned how a single train was burned and how many died. But what happened afterwards was not to the same scale. If you go and slap someone and that person shots you in the head is that okay because you slapped? The definition of insane is when a person reaction to the stimuli is not proportionate to the stimuli. The whole world knows it was wrong at least have the strength to admit that mass murder was wrong. Hindus discriminate Muslims in so many ways as it is in India. But burning the women and children alive is wrong. Be brave and admit it.

Which was over 10% of Europe population. Germany lost around 20-40% of their population. I am a Christian, but there have been many religious sects that can cause violence.

No state is prepared with an action plan should communal violence at a large scale occurs. An emergency response team with access to national level resources that can quickly deploy army units are needed to curtail widespread violence in a State. This team should be able to handle floods and other disasters . When the people live get swamped with calls from a lot of people they will not be able to control the situation. The leadership should have a back up presence from national emergency response military units to co ordinate and act fast.

Before this big riot there was small riots everyday.The environment was such that people knew when and where the next riot was gonna happen.In the 90s same thing happened in Kashmir when a brewing communalism since the 80s sponsored by separatist and Pakistan eventually led to massacre and displacement of Kashmiri pandits and surprisingly was UNPROVOKED unlike the 2002 riots.

it's all about angered from people where thousands of peacefools rushed into compartments and lock the doors and burnt children and women and men and cheering God is great ..... the peacefools got instant karma ... they learnt so quickly that after not single riot has happened .... it's a history ... we are here to not repeat it
