In this week's Friday episode, Patrick and Stuart continue the work in their alcove en suite bathroom in one of their chateau bed and breakfast guest rooms. This week in the bathroom involved more painting, tiling, grouting, caulking, installation of the shower and bathtub with Tony ‪@notquiteachateaudiy‬, and installation of the bathroom lighting with John the electrician. Patrick and Stuart also make repairs, refinish, and reinstall the bathroom door.

Stuart and Patrick, you have created a blissful, calming, serene haven of a bathroom and what a beautiful bath to luxuriate in! Your guests will feel spoilt I’m sure. Me being me, just loves the touches of gold and especially the chandelier of course? Good morning Patrick & Stuart, the end result of the "bathroom" is magnificent! I so love the light green and white. The wall paper matches perfectly with the mosaic tiles, that gold stripe on the tiles compliments the wall paper perfectly. Everything is spic and span. All that I would do is place a beautiful vase with flowers if there is space, it's like having flowers in the kitchen. It is just so nice!! That has been a lot of work to get that where it is, the planning, the cleaning and clearing. I am still busy with the succulents and the 'pots'!! I thought I could just replant and that is, no, not so straight forward. Now new challenges have popped up with the clay pots, it feels never ending and James keeps harping on, are you going to spray the Clivias for the caterpillar worm?? People just do not get it. He helps with the compost and pot soil mixtures etc., but there is more to get the jobs done. Well, if that is the look of the bathroom, goodness, cannot wait to see the end result of the bedroom. It will be exquisite. I am suppose to do baking as well. I can fully understand why the dish ran away with the spoon, more to nursery rhymes than we think. Regardless, do take care, lovely to have Tony and John over to assist and carry on and have a ball on your day off. Many blessings, kind regards, Elize.

Well done! That was truly a huge project and the room looks fantastic! Patrick, you are so tall so you must have needed to contort yourself to do all the jobs. And when everyone was in there I could see the difficulty. I love the sink and bath as well as the mirror and light fittings. Also love all the tiles especially the ones with the gold pieces. The bathroom turned out beautifully! At first I was puzzled over your choice of the small tile, and how it related to the other decorating items you had chosen, but finally noticed the gold band running through the tiles and it made sense. Subtle but perfect! Lovely choice. Well done you two!

Lovely! A lot of work, but it looks so gorgeous. I love the touch of 'bling' of gold on the splash back tiles behind the sink. I haven't ever seen mosaic tiles with that little touch. What a find!! It just ties the wallpaper and the brass fittings just perfectly. Can't wait to see how the room turns out. And I never realised the underside of modern tubs looked like that?? Live and learn!

I was wondering where the toilet was, but you just said something about a water closet, so assuming that will go in there somewhere. Beautiful room. I marveled at the wallpaper with gold and the gold in the tile. Gorgeous.
