I headed out in my narrowboat, onto the River Severn after leaving the last lock on the River Avon. The Severn was powerful and I needed to be on my guard for floating debris. I saw the Gloucester Lock and the Gloucester Cathedral where King Edward II was buried and some of the corridors were used for Hogwarts in three Harry Potter films. Then after four months afloat it was finally time for mum to see my boat. Will she like it or not?
