All I can think of when I hear this song is that little Mexican guy dancing, not sure if you saw that video on KZfaq but it was popular for a bit

My daughter is learning this on bass and I shared this with her ♥️. She loves how Peter invented lead bass 😆. Excellent job. I’m a huge fan and you really understand his style

This is my kinda bass cover, similar to Castle Beat Town but it's up the neck by the body.

First off may I say as bassist we have a lot in common when it comes to utilizing the precision bass (nothing beats IMHO) really cool funky laid back swinging/groovy song (the bassline in particular) I'll admit I enjoy a clean sound with a bit of chorus but on flip side the texture/tone you dialed in with that bit of grit mixed perfectly in with the band. Thanks for upload. It gave me some ideas watching.

HOW DO YOU GET THIS TONE???
@TylrMrshll Жыл бұрын
I'm copy and pasting a response I wrote to someone else just now but: In this cover I'm pretty much only using a compressor and a Sansamp Paradriver. I usually cut treble a little, boost mids to like 3 o'clock, and leave bass flat. But I also like to kind of boost up highs and take a little bit of brightness off with the tone knob when I'm doing Joy Division songs, so I take high almost up to flat but cut a little off. And then with this song a touch of drive is all you need after that. hope that helps!

how did you do this sound

You're playing this wrong. It's all supposed to be downstrokes, classic punk Johnny Ramone style
@TylrMrshll10 ай бұрын
lmao I know like 99% of post punk is all downstrokes, but I'm way better with timing when alternate picking and I feel like I have pretty stiff technique, so I thought it passed sorta convincingly.
