I've been asked to revisit my Duel 10.1 Head Unit and in doing so I figured it was time to introduce everyone to Ghost and the new Joying 15.1 Android Head Unit powered by Android 12.
It is a fantastic Head unit. From sound, build quality, functionality & Apple integration...The Joying is second to NONE.

I highly suggest you order from Joying. If you have any issues, you will get a replacement. FYI, this car looks dope. I used to have one in my car a few years ago, but I threw it away. I am looking for a new one.

Love that engine sound while idling. I think as well with this screen size and the average battery, idling is not a luxury. I got the 10.1" Snapdragon unit, and like you say everything works flawlessly with fenomenal and even insane sound quality, especially using 4G and streaming directly off the head unit with Apple Music lossless setting, to a seperate DSP amp via the optical out. The only thing I'm figuring out is whether or not DTS is usable. It adds a spacial effect, but also seems to compress the audio quite a lot.

Thanks for your comment. Your Joying unit, does it have the front camera option also? My cellular data is working now and the wireless CarPlay is amazing. The sound quality is unmatched. This head unit is by far the best I’ve installed in quite some time. Thanks for tuning in. I appreciate you.

@@LiveLifeWithAView You're welcome. Front as in, not dash but from the grill? Depends on where you mount it I guess. It has support for max. 4 camera's for the 360 parking view, I will be adding the dash/front and back. Many people try to shit on this unit cause "Chinese" so it will be garbage, but this brand proves it's possible to have a great versatile alternative for those overpriced and underdeveloped main brands.

Thanks for the review. Your ride is dope AF. I was wondering if you might help me out. What is the gap measurement from the HU to the back of the display? Did you get the vertical adjustable model? If so...just curious how that looks/works. I'm looking at the vertical model but need the gap to be large enough so I can clear the edge of my dashboard cupholder. Thanks for your advice/help.

On this particular model I opted for only the horizontal. The gap is less than an inch. Hardly any room for a finger to fit behind the screen and the dashboard. Being that I have a manual, if it were in vertical the knob would constantly hit the screen. I appreciate the compliment on Ghost. I think she looks pretty dope AF as well. These screens compatibe in any car? Would it work with a 10th gen civic ? I have a 2017 EX civic. 2. Can you connect a usb hub and mouse to the unit?

I am not sure honestly. All depends on how much is integrated into your factory stereo. As in are there any functions tied directly to your factory stereo with the cars operations? That’s a question only you can answer. Your second question is a yes to the usb hub. Not sure about the mouse part. I know I haven’t tried. 👍🏾

When you put in your sim card you have to do a reboot to the radio and then 5G or 4G should show up at the top of the screen

I went with T-Mobile and there is a SIM card tray that you would insert the chip. 👍🏾

Bro did you have a hard time getting the bumper to fit the old style headlights? I have a 2009 dodge challenger I got the hellcat bumper but idk if it will give me a hard time getting it to fit

If you got the Vicrez aftermarket Hellcat grille for our year Challenger, it takes into consideration the headlights already. No fitment issues with my setup.

Do you think this will fit in a 2001 Corvette like even if it covers everything like climate controls? is there any way to shift it down so it doesnt cover my vents? pls help! i bought one 10mins ago.

I would love to be able to give you some sound information, sadly I cannot. Without owning a vet I am unable to give you a positive yes or no. What I will say is depending on the unit you purchased (double or single din) and if the Corvette is a single or double, you may be able to adjust it a little that way. (Using a single din unit in a double din is what I mean.) Other than that, the unit doesn’t adjust up, down, left or right.

It looks like it would fit although you would lose access to your temperature controls since the screen would completely ENGULF them. If you look closely at mine, I am only able to physically touch the bottom portion of my temp controls. So it would be a trade off for you.

Can the head unit control your AC unit?

No, the physical AC knobs are still fully functional. There is only 50% of the the 3 knobs showing in order to operate the AC/Heat. Doesn’t bother me.

@@LiveLifeWithAView Thank you my friend. Would've been nice to do CANbus control from the head unit like their other model. That way if I got the unit I can completely block my AC knobs without a care =P
