Hello chess friends and welcome to a brilliant game that i found on the TCEC official website that was played by the two top engines Leela C Zero and Stockfish. The game was an amazing Dragon Sicilian - Yugoslav Attack game with many tactical motifs and principles of attacking chess.

Stockfish says, "That's how we do it, folks!" This game should be not only in the opening textbooks, but also in books about attacking the king.

6:50 I can't really calculate how one can take advantage of this position when white played h3 black's bishop was on g7 when white played h4 black's bishop was on h8 thats only difference. just h pawn and bishop

There's a subtle difference Stockfish prefers. If the Fish plays 13. h4 immediately then it can be met with 13. ... h5 and Stockfish doesn't want that, also Stockfish can't play 13. Bh6 yet as it's too early. After 13. Bh6 Black has 13. ... Rxc6 and the position is dead even and the attack is over. So he plays 13. h3 instead which feels like an advanced Zugszwang. Now Black has many responses but the one Leela chose was 13. ... Qc7 so now Rxc3 isn't possible. NOW Stockfish can play Bh6 and the resulting position means that Stockfish has managed to get his Bishop to h6, can play h4 and has most importantly prevented h5 from Black. That's the difference that made Stockfish go for h3 first.

The Bishop B8 move reminded me of the Huebner vs Rogoff drawish and difficult game :)

Amazing game and the best use of the Yugoslav attack. Love how Leela Zero defended. Wonderful game and brutal tactics. Chess is the best! Thank you for sharing. We can learn a lot from these games.

my stockfish 14 (latest dev version) suggests 13.h4 as the best move (depth 45) +1 for white!
