That's happened to me before with stock esc's particularly on the Xmaxx and Redcats. I thought it was an esc error due to heat. When you replug it corrects itself. I changed the tires on my Kaiju and now I can't get a full pack thru without it shutting off several times. Traxxas is much better than redcat obviously. I just purchased 3 XRT's..thx for the video.

As far as that front tire thing I noticed the same thing with my car. I didn’t really dig into what it is yet by just looking at it I fallowed it to the servo saver not that it is the problem but I was looking at it just like you.

I had my XRT cut out twice like that my first run. Had to unplug and plug back in, I’ve also had the TQI lock up a few times at very short distances.

Love how these just sail through the air. I have an xmax and outcast 8s so this would round that large scale bashers out well. 😬 I run those same tires on my Erevo 2.0. Bought used with the speed gearing and REALLY need to swap it back to stock. Gets flaming hot. But those tires are great. Some of my favorite.

Awesome video . I just ordered the xrt but I live on madeira island Portugal so If I break anything it takes about 2 months to get parts . I own a bunch of rc cars, drones , planes and helicopters . And they all look brand new . I would never send any rc car on a jump . Although there is tons of videos of people sending It to the moon 🌙 . I enjoy all my RC things but I'm just to concerned about breaking them . Just to give you an idea 💡. I have a kyosho 1/10 Subaru impreza for 25 years and I've never broken anything . And that's the ones that have a mechanical esc . And brushed moter . The only parts that I have ever bought was things that just wear with time like brushes and batteries . I'll probably have my xrt for the next 25 years and never break it .

Cool run with the XRT, I have said before later next year i plan to get another X-Maxx and maybe a few mods like new tires i was thinking about some Hatchet X's. i heard decent things about duratrax tires i had a set of speedtreads shootouts on my slash 4x4 at one point and they were decent. I can't wait to see more vids of the X-Maxx and the XRT.

That happen to me a few times like it lost signal few seconds it comes back. After those few times it I took the receiver and Transmitter out. And I went and put a Spektrum receiver and bind it to the Dx5c rugged.

If you want to back flip, just pull the trigger. Your more than high enough, but also it would make it easier to begin with if you actually have that thing some trigger to hit the ramp

The reason the xrt feels more snappy than the xmaxx is because they updated the firmware for the xrt to be a lil more punchy the xmaxx still has the old firmware. If you buy that 30 doller thi g that goes in the back of the controller you can update the xmaxx firmware they both use the same exact vxl8s.

I bought a Blue XRT one today. I think that I'm going to put different tires on mine too (duratrax lockup), but I think that I'm going to keep the stock de gearing. I already ordered a 3d printed wing mount for mine off Ebay. Maybe the ESC is hitting Thermal with that gearing?

So now after some decent runtime what do you think of the duratrax tires on an xrt? I almost ordered some mx43 badlands but i don’t wanna add all that weight to a basically stock xrt. I do have a max6 esc in mine so almost stock.

Do you ever use a aftermarket transmitter. If you do what one do you tend to gravitate to?

Never had any kind of interference with tqi. Other than annoying to tune and not being good for one hand driving I’ve never had any kind of issue 🤷🏼‍♂️
