I met and fished with a Mike who told me about an inside joke between him and his buddy who was also named Mike 🙂 You're not kidding...there are a crazy number of Pike in that Mill Pond. 33" Pike is an awesome fish!!! I've had several people tell me there's a 44 incher out there. I keep trying to find him but no luck yet. Thanks for the comment...I really appreciate when people such as yourself reach out! 🙂

@@FishingAroundFenton More than likely I am. We do fish around there a lot for sure. I’ve seen a huge pike short strike one of my frogs last year. I’ve had them pace me while paddling too, just floating in the shade.

Cool...I spent a fair amount of time talking to "Big" Mike that day...he seemed like a really nice person and I enjoyed chatting with him. Yeah...it's amazing...the Pike have no fear of kayaks. I had one run into my kayak as I was lifting a lure out of the water...cracked me up. Seems like I've had a dozen or more strike within a foot or two of the kayak as well. Hopefully one of these days I'll run into you out there 🙂 Leave a couple big ones for me 😂😎

Wow....thank you very much for the nice comment. I started making the videos just to share with family. Somewhere along the away a couple other people found them. Pike are a lot of fun....and pretty cool fish in my book. I always thought of them as the freshwater equivalent of Barracuda 😎 Besides Bass and Pike I enjoy catching Bowfin too (also called Dogfish or Mudfish). Some people think Bowfin are nuisance fish but I think they are cool. Mean teeth and can live out of water for 24 hours. Sounds like you've got quite a good variety of fish to catch as well. I release all my fish but it sounds like you could make some meals out of yours 🙂 I try to keep a sense of humor while fishing....especially when things start to border on the ridiculous. Those Pike got their revenge on me those two days 😂

@@FishingAroundFenton I mostly release mine too. The bit is the addiction lol. I guess it better than other stuff. You may have started sharing with your family but people like me are finding them buddy and like your videos so don’t stop. Lol it gives me motivation to get out there. I took me a vacation for the summer fishing so I have no choice lol I have to get out there and fish from sun up to sun down As long as it don’t rain lol. But I look forward to see the fresh water fish you catch. Not many people will let you fish their ponds around here. And they think the own the ocean 😂. So I don’t see many freshwater fish.

Ha....although I don't gamble....I tell people fishing must be a lot like pulling the slot machine arm at the casino: every cast could be a winner 😂 Thanks again for the really nice comment. KZfaq has been interesting. Some people start a video then barely watch it....or only watch until the strike and then stop watching. A couple people have clicked the dislike button (that took me a couple minutes to get used too....it's not like a made a click-bait video), And then there are people like yourself....who enjoy the videos. For me, I enjoy the whole process of fishing....from the cast, to the strike, to the landing, to the release....so I make videos I would enjoy watching. If others like them....cool. If not....sorry. Yeah....you sound like you're more than ready to get out on your new kayak, hit the water, and catch some fish. I hope that happens soon for you!
