Thanks for another excellent instructive video. Still working on the system I will be using this fall. I have it setup in my barn and still practicing short climbs until I can get to my local arborist shop for a throwball and line. Nice pointers on getting comfortable with the system and good to see you instructing another person on your method.

Do you have shorts on over your saddle or is that a sadde I've never seen before?

I'm so excited about this system you have here! I have been watching and practicing the knots. I am trying to figure out what system I need. I want a system that is light as possible because I am a backpacker, hunter and a prepper with a Bug-Out-Bag. I want it for all three. I love heights and have no fear. I know knots. Thanks!!!

Hay JR. Looks great but seems complicated for us simpletons, been climbing for two year now just double rope, with Blake's hitch, quiet simple, too me it's a winner, have you ever tried it and if so what are your thoughts?

Sure, i started out on a Blake's 15 yrs ago. Closed system, then open system so no knots tied at the tree, then added auto tending, then thru all the friction hitches looking for the best, then added a friction saver. But at the end of the day, friction of a moving rope is unnecessary work, noise and rope wear. Here, i am climbing twice as fast (1:1 instead of 2:1). I also have redundancy for my friction hitch. Adding redundancy adds content to the system. I have no problem with old school. I just have moved on. I have no problem with it, but feel I am faster and safer. If I throw high and get branches between my lines, no problem cuz i can switch to SRT and a basal anchor. You can't do that with a Blake's. Its all good though. Glad you're tied in.

Just wish I could really get close up on your system, I just have a smart phone, it's hard to see all the steps. Every county in USA needs JRB rep, to show everyone up close and personal your technique and before we leave your seminar, we're schooled pros like you😁
