He has a way of asking the right questions, making interesting observations, and bringing up topics that make for good conversation for us to listen to.

I think it's their personalities. Mac seems super hyped up like he just pounded down two red bulls and did a line of coke. Joe on the other hand never seems all that excited during most of his interviews which I suspect is because he is mellow for some reason....
