well when people are sick and dying around you accepting any and all help could save you and if not it will only get worse anyways introducing a short term assistance to a peoples that are on the edge like that will just hurt them because when they leave not only will they go back but now they will have new problems as well. there are whole islands that no longer is open to outsiders because of "wanting to help" I am sure that helping the tribe made the team feel better but they VERY LIKELY only made things worse just by breathing near them their medic should have been aware of this I doubt they even wore masks

As a Guyanese, the people of the amazons are extremely skilled jungle dwellers and well versed from poisons to edible plants. They even know how to remove poisons from snakes and other animals and preserve them to use on arrows. My indigenous friend told me that they can run straight up in trees just like running in the streets. They co-exist with the large cats such as jaguars peacefully. You’re fortunate to ever meet them. But respectfully, don’t just approach them head on. Sometimes you cross their paths on trails such as “Iwokrama”, which is a rainforest guide in Guyana.

They swim like fish, can climb trees, and not only run incredibly fast, but far… and COMPLETELY silent through the jungle. Also, Joe mentions the Huaorani and their feet. That was the tribe I was with for two weeks on our expedition… they did have feet far more webbed than ours and they are much wider as well
@lizeggar24212 жыл бұрын
In Zimbabwe, in the Zambezi valley, is a tribe that has feet that are cleft, with only two toes. Their feet look almost like an istrich's feet. It is a genetic abnormality. The name of the tribe escapes me at the moment, but a simple Google will confirm what I have commented. When Kariba was being built the government was trying to clear the area to be flooded and this tribe was very resistant to keaving.

there are jaguars in my town, it ocasionally appears in the local newspapper, I'm Brazilian btw. When I was a child, my grandfather worked building new roads to places like little villages that didn't have easy access to the city. Sometimes instead of taking me and my brother to school (like he was supposed to do) we would ask him to take us with him to work, because of that we would go to places in the middle of nowhere, meet a lot of people and see a LOT of wildlife. Once we spent the night in a farm which my grandfather were friends with the owner, and it was about 6 pm, and I asked them if I could play in the cornfield, and the owner said that every night there was a jaguar that would appear in the farm surroundings and it was very dangerous to go to the fields around that time. I'm not even kidding, some people that I know say you can smell it from a long distance, and the animal smells like rotten flesh. they are scary but beaultiful creatures.

Ringworm is a fungal infection. However from his description what is means is Hookworm, Which is a worm and can cause a similar looking rash along the surface of the skin. This is treated with a pill. So I think he just remembered the name wrong. Giant Roundworm would also be a huge concern.
