Navy is a lot of fun to watch, Air Force spins are much more sharp and precise. Army does a lot of big doubles and triple tosses. Marines are all precision and perfection, no spins or tosses until the inspection line is formed, then it gets fun

lols but that sounds about right. There is Air Force Academy Drill Team different from your typical Air Force Drill Team. When I was in Tech School I was in the drill team. We were called White Knights-it was awesome and it is why I enjoy watching these professionals go at it. You break concentration spinning those rifles and you will drop it because you can spin them babies very fast as you can make them go.

well they're sailors pretty much the uniform is similar to pirates when they were a real thing lol they were sailors who wore those similar outfits. pretty much what youre saying out of a hollywood movie the hollywood movie came from the real thing

I don’t know about the colors in regards to their roles in the drill team. I even saw a blue stripe for the Seabees (construction). Not sure if they are special badges as all looked to be E3s. In my days before they were given an A school. You just had the stripes before the rating badges. I have been part of color guards before, it mot like this. Just curious. And think it’s best to pick young sailors as they learn teamwork and discipline and think it’s good for honing skills later. Bedsides, youth would have its advantages. Good to see the women in their. Them rifles aren’t light and she kept right with them. Lot of work and training. God bless all of them. 🙏

@TrueWW2History I've judged a few JROTC competitions and honestly and this is just my opinion the ones that drilled liked the Silent Drill Platoon were better due to the fact that they displayed more precision. Other teams may have been more fancy but when it was so fancy to the point it becomes sloppy its looks horrible. Timing in spins being messed up, kids off step, or having kids stand on each others shoulders and doing a backflip, thats to much. Its still a Military type of drill competition, not step team, or cheerleading event.

They are a military drill team. The army, air force, and marine corps all lived up to their standards of drill. They all look crisp and sharp. This performance doesnt hold up to the other service's standard, and not even to their own standard.

Joshua Gill the navy ceremonial drill tea takes only the best people straight fresh out of bootcamp that hasn't had a chance to practice with each other and it's not their fault that the navy is fast paced which is how it's suppose to be which make their routine much more difficult than the others don't be hating

Joshua Gill Uhh, I watched both the Army and Marine Corps Routine and I'm sure you did to. The Army team 4 soloist messed up during their solo, but never dropped it. One of them even lost his cover and had a standby chasing behind him to put it back on!! The Marine Corps does the exact same routine every time they perform with no changes accept the devil dawgs performing it. The even messed up a little on the inspection routine.

The Marine Corps SDP does change/modify some of the routine they do every year but the crowd for the most part can't tell. All the teams are awesome in their own right. I just enjoy the Marine Silent Drill Platoon the most. Basic drill moments flared up with ceremonial drill and some exhibition drill but not so much so to where you lose precision which is what they focus on rather getting the crowd hype with a narrator and soloist. Not that thats a bad thing just a difference.

One team one fight. We all serve with a purpose. We love our county. I’m proud to have done 20 years and worked alongside all branches as a Navy Seabee. Although did love staying at AF bases when I could. Love the airmen, but they had some good qtrs and chow halls. 😜

We don't like having a speaker like the army does. No disrespect to the army at all, but the announcer makes the performance seem flashy and it takes away from the rifle movements. We're there to show our dedication.

I agree. The old NAVY full dress blue uniform is goofy looking most of the time, I hated wearing the beanie all the time..... The newer stuff is much much better, they've adopted the US Marine stuff for many work uniforms, etc.

@@ronnychindc when I joined in 79, we had the combo hat and all and maybe 81sh, they changed to the cracker jacks. In the Seabees, we seldom wore them. I literally hated the uniform look myself. Lol. 13 buttons and young guy drinking beer. Not kewl. Some of learned Velcro and hidden zippers behind the buttons. I never really knew how to wear that hate. And kept my “neck tie” tied. I called it a square knot and a BM said it wasn’t. (Looked like one) Now I can’t tell them apart with working uniforms. Cammies and Seabee greens for most part for me. 13 buttons. 🧐. I will never figure that one out. And my first uniform was hand down from old chief and heavy wool in sub tropical climate. Rough. Lol.
