You forgot about: - The hidden compartment behind the passenger seat. A perfect place to store your documents and maintenance paperwork. - 12V outlet for additional USB extender is deep in the passenger footwell. PS: This car warms my soul every single day. 2 years down the road I love it more and more!

Working on year 7 with my 2016 Club soft top as a daily in season weather. The winter tires are stacked on a dolly in the garage. They are well engineered & the more you know about them the better off you will be.

Also, the auxiliary power outlet (cigarette style charger) up under the passenger footwell! You really have to get in there to find it.

Another thing few owners know about: what happens when you PRESS the DASHBOARD ILLUMINATION STALK KNOB! “The engine coolant temperature gauge can be switched to indicate only the high engine coolant temperature range by pressing the panel light control switch.” Very cool.

i tried to switch a coolant temp but pressing on the toggle doesn't change view in my car , what am i missing ?

Previous infotainment system in a current year model Mazda is a hint that a new generation is coming. Just saying after noticing that happened to Mazda6 and CX9.

I think they are hesitant to put the new system in for now, but I expect the new generation in 2025 or 2026.

When using regular octane, Do you lose some hp?

I’m sure there’s some difference, but none that Mazda announces.

I would think it would need to retard the ignition timing a bit to prevent knock with lower octane fuel. I haven't tried anything other than Premium in my '21 RF GT because I only ever put about 8.5 gallons when it gets to an 1/8 of a tank (usually 2 or 3 weeks between fill ups) so regular really wouldn't save me much $. I'd much rather have optimum performance than a few dollars I'd save with regular.

Year 7 owner of a 2016 Club soft top & its always had Premium gas - but if that is going to be a deal breaker go Buy a Prius !
