He's strong, best in aerial duel, win every header, tackle like crazy, unbelivably brave, very dangerous in set pieces & also a great leader.
Him & Rio Ferdinand had built strong partnership which I considered as the best partnership centre back in the world. I always feel comfortable when the pair is in starting XI. It's a joy to watch him defending, that's why I made this video. This is 12 minutes Video of his great moment and show you how amazing he was.

Vidic was quite possibly the complete defender. He had the tackling abilities of Wan-Bissaka, bravery/recklessness of Bailly, and the aerial presence of Maguire. Anyone who is saying Virgil van Dijk is better than Vidic must have started watching football 2 years ago. Vidic is incomparable, absolutely brilliant.

I swear players like Vidic, Park Ji Sung, Roy Keane and basically majority of Unites players back than either cant be produced anymore or just once every generation. These type of players are ones with pure heart and tenacity. Much love and utmost respect to them

I think many MU fan nowdays more appreciating MU defender in past cause our severe defense recent years. Our current attacking lineup very good yet why we cant win? People said need good defense. and by good defense finally we try look back how amazing MU def in past for comparison with now.

Vida was my favourite player over them all besides maybe Scholes. Best pure defender I’ve ever witnessed in my life. Maldini, Nesta etc were probably more complete footballers and had longer primes but in terms of just defending I’ve never seen anyone better than Vida in his prime before or since.

Vidic was an absolute beast of a Defender. His coverage was everywhere in defence. He and Ferdinand's partnership was the Great Wall of England and Europe. Miss those lads👍🏿

How can anyone compare this murderor to VVD. Don’t get me wrong. VVD is amazing had a great season. One of the key factors for lvpool being this good. Gets a spot in my all time best XI and the captains armband, that blend of absolute commitment and ability is very rare especially in todays game. I remember watching him at Red Star in 2001 and it was already obvious that he was world class! Brilliant career and achievements.
