Best thing about the James Bond skydiving stunt for the London Olympics in 2012 it was said she didn't tell anyone she had filmed this including the family and as she emerged into the stadium their faces were a picture and she had a sort of little 'well that surprised you all' smile on her face. 👑 🏟️ 🏅

I’m in my 20’s, and I can’t fault her to be honest. I also respected Prince Philip, I mean the man served his country during WWII (he was even mentioned in dispatches), he established the DofE scheme which has helped many young people from all backgrounds, etc. My grandparents told me her dad was a good monarch as well, which I can believe as a history geek. ;) I’m an RAF brat and my brother is in the RN reserves, so maybe I’m a bit more respectful about these things than my peers...🤔

@@lynette. I can imagine, and yet people are comparing WWII with the pandemic...I think that was why I got so annoyed with the kind of people who broke lockdown rules deliberately! In the grand scheme of things, staying at home was hardly a big sacrifice to make and it *is* worth it in the end if it means we’re making people safe. I heard quite a bit from my grandad over the years who was a child living in Manchester during the Christmas Bombings in WWII, it all honestly broke my heart to say the least. I can only imagine what he went through at the time, high morale was literally all that stood between us and the Third Reich. So I can only feel the utmost respect for this generation; from the working class right the way through to the monarchy itself. Everyone lived through it, and did their bit. ❤️

@@phoenixrose1192 exactly right... when the Queen and the two Princesses were offered the chance to evacuate to the relative safety of one of the other castles, the Queen was said to have made a comment along the lines of, "if our people can't be moved why should we"...it was all about morale and not being seen to be in a position of privilege. When Princess Elizabeth was planning her wedding gown, the people of UK sent her their own fabric ration coupon to make her gown, however, she gratefully received and returned as many as were possible, as not everyone who sent a coupon could be identified so those were donated to charities providing clothing to people whose homes had been destroyed in the bombings in previous years...Her Maj has always been quite selfless...as she said at a young age, "no matter how long my life, be it long or short, I shall dedicate it to the service of the people"...or something to that effect...

@The Posh Blighty the only time I've heard of someone referring to a frying pan as a Skillet is if they're referring to a cast iron skillet otherwise we just refer to them as a frying pan. Cast iron skillets are good for self-defense at home. They are really sturdy and they're really easy to knock someone out with. If you use a cast iron skillet for home-defense make sure you have a length of rope to the hog tie the Intruder to the police get there in case they wake up before the police can make it on scene.

As a child up to my 20s i lived in a village walking distance from Windsor, and each year next to the river Thames we had the royal fate. This was at that time always attended by HMTQ. Apparently the story goes that when I was there at about age 5 I rushed to the front of the crowd that was greeting the Queen, my mother stayed back as all the people we knew and they were making sure I got to the front, well I was obviously little, and the Queen did not see me, so apparently I yelled (oh forgive me) oi Queen several times until I was heard. My mother apparently had at this point mysteriously disappeared into the tea tent! HMTQ then bent to speak to me asking my name, which I answered, and then she said I’m told and where do you live? At which point, looking much cuter in my dress than my behaviour, I replied well in my house of course! I would like to add all future encounters which were many living where we did was done with much more decorum. Later i took up carriage driving, I rode horses and thought this might be fun to try, and the guy I drove with had a pass into the private area of the Windsor great park. We used drive the horses early on a Sunday morning and would most weeks see the then Queen mother going to chapel, and also often Zara and the other royals who were around at the time. We would always drive wearing a trilby hat so that of course would get properly tipped at whichever royal we saw. Although the queen was always the one to watch out for as she was a nutter behind the wheel of a car! Lol,

I think that #5 is THE most badass, dope, and cool thing Our Queen has probably ever done, as a Public Event. Obviously, women driving (or being in any position of authority - especially if they have men who have to answer to them) was a HUGE No-No is Saudi Arabia (things have become slightly more modern since 1992, but not by much). Apparently, the Crown Prince was totally shocked and mega-uncomfortable, but of course, he was unable to day ANYTHING about the situation (which was completely intentional, of course). He was literally speechless when he realised that, not only was the Queen - a woman - going to drive, but drive HIM around the estate. Not as a chauffeur, but far worse - she was deciding where to go, for how long, etc, meaning she was basically bossing HIM. It was unheard of for him. How badass is that. When I knew about this, quite a while ago now (but at the time, in ‘92, I was way too young to understand what wad happened) she went up ten-fold in my estimation!!!! That was on cool stunt to pull, for real!!!!!

The preparations and security detail that Queeny had when she visited my nearby city was mental. Every manhole, every electrical and telecom service covers had to have tamperproof tags put on them. Some of which are still there to this day. Which was inspected on a regular basis up to her visit and any tampered tags would have had the bomb squad called in. Then was road closers in a few mile radii when she was travelling around the area and this was also a no-go area for the general public.

That time when the Queen drove the Saudi king, I think she was really bad ass. It was clearly a political statement saying she did not like that women were not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia.

Haha ..When the guy was shooting at the queen, the commentator just said ' hello! just some little disturbance' such an English way to respond to a situation.... Keep calm and carry on.. old chum

Whilst the video says that the Queen is the first monarch to send an email, it's actually more than that. She was the first head of state in the world to send an email.

@@TheKonkaman I beg to differ. "most" of the show is centred on private moments amongst the royals. Agreed the time frame is based upon certain defining moments, but any conversations shown on TV are fantasy owing to the fact that there are no verbatim recordings . It's a shame that a TV show is now perceived as a historical documentary by those who lack the intelligence to see it as otherwise.

There's a story that at an official dinner, the Queen took two breadsticks and laid them at the side of her plate. A visiting foreign dignitary followed her example. At the end of the meal she fed the breadsticks to her corgis, turned to the dignitary and asked, "And what are you going to do with yours?"

Your so funny and I love the way you showed interest in our beautiful Queen 👸🏻 who is now 95yrs old but has carried on with her public duties after loosing Prince Philip then having all the trouble with Harry and Megan shame on them and the Prince Andrew she must feel so alone now Philips gone but even with everything she’s had to put up with this year she’s still done her duty and done it with a smile on her face but we really don’t know how she feels inside God Bless her I just adore our Queen 👸🏻 she’s one special Lady Love ❤️ from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👑👑👑👑👸🏻👸🏻👸🏻🥰🥰👋😘

My family and I were at an airshow once and attack heli was doing a show and at the end did a bow to the crowd. As it flew off the announcer said we should all feel honoured as we'd been bowed to by a Prince. Harry was in the gunner's seat. 😁

It's unlikely to be the air filter. It's either a fuel issue or the carburettor jets are blocked.
