Private school kids are not rich. That’s an ignorant statement. Many private schools can cost 10k a year. Literally less than buying a new car. It’s more about money management than being rich. In fact assuming you need to be rich to just attend a private school shows how uneducated the avg person is. Now if a private school costs over 30k a year; at that point you would most likely need to be wealthy without a scholarship of course.

As a private schooler, I can say that wealth and opportunity is the only difference between private/public school students. "wealth and opportunity is the only difference" lol sorry but no. That's not real life. An average person who can afford private school for their children probably has a higher IQ than the one who can't afford. And the children of the higher IQ will likely to be smarter than the other kid whose father can't afford a private school. Of course I'm not saying that this is true in general, but on average, it is true. And I haven't even mentioned that it is scientifically proven that eating healty in the early ages has a significant role in brain development. Sure, you can say this is a part of the "wealth" you were talking about, but this happens before they even go to the school. By the time they are old enough to go to the school, there is already a difference between a kid whose parents can afford a private school, and another kid whose parents can't afford. And it's because the first kid had more access to healty food, and that contributed his brain development. Meanwhile the poor kid was fed with unhealty food probably. I'm not saying a kid from private school is smarter than a public school kid, but if you do the same IQ test in a private school and in a public school, chances are the private school probably will average more. And that is just real life.

cause private school students arent always rich mine are software engineers but work long hours (till 3am sometimes) to pay for my tuition fee
@an-lx6rh
@an-lx6rh 2 жыл бұрын
not an attack but the fact that software engineers aren’t considered rich kinda screams private school lol. in most public schools, that would be considered rich because both parents are probably both making six figures each like they may not be in the 1% but def like 5-10% at the very least and enough to afford private school w v little to no aid

as someone who's in the private school enviorment, unless you have other close friends who you share a similar backround with, you really don't talk much about what your parents do. probably a trait passed down from the old money students as yk for filthy rich its an unspoken rile that you shouldn't talk about money.

@@pastelgirl6615 honestly, yeah. Hadn't even really thought about that I was in private school for 10 years and I was in the same class as a lot of my classmates since kindergarten and I couldn't tell you what a lot of their parents did. They knew what my mom did cause she taught at our school and there were a couple other kids like that, a couple parents came in for junior achievement so I knew what they did, or they were my friends so I knew what their parents did, but for the majority of kids in my class, I have no clue (and there were only 20 people)

Public school doesn’t have free lunches for everyone, only for the kids who have free reduced lunches. And even then, at my old public high school at least, the free lunch was a crappy ham and cheese sandwich

My public elementary school had free lunch for everyone because it was a title 1 school. So yes public schools can have free lunches for everyone it just depends where you live

That's not entirely true as I've been to one that did have free lunch and you only had to pay for anything extra you got. Also, a lot of schools switched to free lunch because of covid.

In my district it is all free crappy food. The food tastes so bad that kids will ask strangers for other food and if you eat the school food the proportions are not enough. This is s a problem because they only let you eat once so kids will steal food from the cafeteria.

I was fortunate enough to go to private school on a scholarship. Without that, I wouldn't have been able to go. However, scholarship students like myself were a very small percentage. Most people at my school came from families with money 😅

The thing about bullying is that private schools still don’t prevent it, so someone talking about bullying could mean public or private school.
