If you think what I'm describing is the minimum, congrats you have high emotional intelligence. I'd also argue that it's the ability to be in tune with your own emotions and express them when necessary.

Yeah, because men think anger and frustration are not emotions, like happyness are not emotions. The majority of men literally behave like todlers, scream and beat up other men or their wives, because they can not control their emotions, but for some reason women are the emotional ones. Everyone already knows that, it’s just that the ones that are anti men seem to be the most assertive and sometimes the loudest and most normal feminists don’t seem to condemn them that much and when they do instead of just saying “misandry is bad and not we don’t stand for it”, it’s usually “misandry is bad but not as bad a misogyny because……but that doesn’t mean misandry is ok”. That therefore leaves the misandrist to become the most heard voice in your movement, that combined with the lack of condemnation of them on your part means they become the face of your movement whether they deserve to be or not.

A nice example of mansplaining for folks that believe it doesn't exist : One time, a guy asked me on Discord how long my period lasted (yeah don't ask why) I replied eight days because my period lasts longer than the norm. He then said that I was lying, hence NOT A WOMAN, and proceeded to explain to me how periods and menstrual cycles worked. Mansplaining does exist and it's freaking ridiculous to experience lmao

The idea that men don’t also have ‘pretty privilege’ is false. Attractive men are able to easily use that to their benefit as well. Attractiveness is a different conversation. Unattractive women and men will have to work a little harder in certain contexts regardless of gender

I’ve been following Clarkson on Instagram for a couple years now and I love how middle ground he is on a lot of things, how he’s a free thinker who has his own independent views on things but is still brutally honest with his unpopular opinions. It's so crazy to me how many men say that women are more emotional but also feel so emasculated by everything. Just because you don't realize when emotions aren't affecting you, doesn't mean you're not emotional

Men are more emotional and have less self-aware edit since people will take this the wrong way: obviously, women TEND to be more emotional yes, but I am replying to what OP said, in the way men often do not realize they are projecting and using internal emotional bias while thinking they are stoic lol. Women are more likely to know they are emotional, while men are not. Hence the lack of self-awareness.

I’ll add - in my Opinion inherently this isn’t something to ridicule anyone for, it’s a result of conditioning over a long period I think. But I think there comes a time where people should not think they’re exempt from embracing their emotions because it makes them any less ‘manly’. I think that’s where some pride and toxicity comes in but I just don’t really understand what is shameful about emotions. I think what they take to be ‘male traits’ like being courageous and powerful for example is actually synonymous with taking stock of your emotions and tackling them with acceptance and learning rather than maladaptive coping such as violence or substance abuse. Or even just bitterness or arrogance. Which is what many people seem to have.

But that point about women wanting to be mothers isn't some ignorant opinion. It's a straight-up sociological fact. We know from numerous studies and polls that women GENERALLY SPEAKING derive long-term, life long happiness from developing their maternal instincts through raising kids and establishing themselves in a family.

Haven't seen the part if the video yet, but drunken consent can very much be a gray area. By varying degrees of legislature, one can claim not to be able to give consent when inebriated, even though you can be enthusiastically consenting at the time.

But for me personally, you lean in, slowly, if they don't want it they'll lean away. I actually think asking for the kiss ruins the romance like if you're on a date. I've seen show where when people like each other and confess the other just grabs your face and kisses, and those scenes are always so hyped. And then the drunk one. I remember there was a time when two people got drunk and did the nasty, it was addressed as a one night stand or a mistake
