My Judas Priest Playlist! • Judas Priest
In this You've Got Another Thing Comin' guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this classic song from Judas Priest note-for-note.
The tuning is standard tuning. E A D G B E
Guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing have some great stripped down riffs in this one. Nothing overly difficult rhythm guitar wise, just straightforward classic metal riffage.
However, Glenn Tipton's solo ramps up the difficulty level quite a bit. He throws a few unorthodox licks in there along with some very fast runs as well.
I will take you through the entire solo phrase-by-phrase.

Plugging something is kind of an informal and unprofessional way to selfishly promote your product, service or idea. This is NOT what Carl is doing. He has every right to promote his guitar courses. I've been playing it wrong all these years, but luckily, people still knew what it was. Lol I guess it was close enough.. but thanks for showing us the correct way. I definitely like this version better.

I was watching the DVD of Live Vengeance 82' when I noticed Tipton playing his part differently than what I thought it was. I was thinking all those years that I learned that riff like 18 years ago, but had no clue it was different than I thought. But it's not the only song like that for me...I usually try and figure songs out by ear first, for a challenge because we are lucky we can look stuff up instantly now, it never used to be that way and you would have to figure alot of stuff out the hard way back in the day. Sometimes I will successfully figure something out, and alot of times I can't. It always amazes me how creative and skilled some guitarists are with their riffs and solos, even the most simple ones.
