She giving her one chance as she was on drugs and supposedly attempting to get clean and back in school with a job. Now if she Violates any probation terms, this judge is known to have zero tolerance and typical give max sentence and will more then likely be way more then 1 year if she screws up. Plus a tap evaluation could mean she still has to do Impatient care which means she could could still have to go to a Institution if recommend. I get giving people second chances for non violent offenses, if it their first time and due to addiction.

The first defendant who drugged some guy, stole his car and his credit card should have been locked up instead of getting probation. I was shocked that her attorney had the nerve to protest giving this poor guy restitution. All that I could think as I was watching this defendant was how many other people she has drugged and ripped off. On a side note, her tears as she was being sentenced highlighted how diabolical she is and how little regard she has for anyone except herself.

She isn’t. She and her aunt, supposedly the mother of the kids, her mother her kid and lots of people are taking advantage of the grandmother, living in her house, and probably the 14 year old is watching the kids. Judge Boyd really messed up on this one. As did the prosecution. It was undercharged. It wasn’t taking a car without permission, it was auto theft, burglary, and assault by drugs. The judge can’t sentence someone on whom the prosecution dropped the ball. This woman is a danger to the public.

How many actually complete all of these compared to how many don't or can't? That's a whole heck of a lot. Absolute truth - no one will change one self until that person is ready for themselves. It doesn't matter how much they get locked up, how many things they are told they need to complete or how many years of probation etc... Until that person is completely ready then that person, alone will take the necessary steps to fix themself.

@@ThePonyaS her job is to ensure they have a fair trial and if they are found guilty to sentence them. Thus her title, Judge. Her job is not to impose her personal morality or ways of living on the defendant. It is to impose the weight of the LAW on the defendant There are many other employees who are paid taxpayer money to “try to teach them something“. Her elongated probation requirements are very burdensome on a short staffed probation department. Most of them fail to meet the Requirements and that’s why you see them back again and again and again. How does that help them? Hear the evidence, decide guilt or innocence, sentence them and call the next case. I’m sure she is a wonderful person but it’s not her job to get everybody to live like her grandmother told her to. And 9o% of these criminals could care less and the morality lectures only anger them. Makes for interesting KZfaq videos but she over reaches. Just my opinion.

@@ThePonyaS I had a wonderful foundation. My Father is 97 and still loves the church that he helped found with my Mom along with 13 other couples. He was a deacon for over 40 years and member of the Lions Club for over 40 years as well.. My mother just passed at 96 and her service was a beautiful testament to a true Christian woman, one who walked the walk all her life not talk the talk. She was a first grade school teacher for 35 years and she and I and I sang in the choir from when I entered high school until I left for college. I was the youngest member ever to join the choir at the time. My sister was the first baby baptized in that church that is now 75 years old and the largest church in my community and not once did I ever see my folks push their religious views on anyone else, in fact we were taught not to do so. Instead we were taught to lead by example. My family growing up could be described by the old timey saying of they're their every time the church door opens. My father refreed high school basketball and was the first white referee to call a game at our segregated black high school as no other white referees would cross that line and the state was discriminating against black men who wanted to become referees at the time. And man did he get grief for it as you can imagine the 60s in the south in a small town. So yeah I had a pretty good foundation. I have watched many of her trials, I have a criminal justice degree and find them very interesting. It doesn't "sound like to me" but it looks like to me from your comment when you don't agree with someone you attack them personally about things you know nothing about. Not a good look. And thanks for giving me the motivation to remember my folks and the legacy they left for what they did for our family and our community.
