My kids are now seeing it too. My son would get so mad I wouldn’t let him drive his car without his license or insurance, he had a car given to him. All his friends had cars too, but not one of them had a license or insurance. Knowing 75% of the kids driving out there have neither, it makes me cringe.

I had a "friend" like that. 24/7 party house. Sex, drugs and alcohol all the time. If my parents knew I would have been locked up for sure. But as stupid teens we had a way around that. Funny thing is out of all of us, I am one of the few, still alive not a teenage mom or addicted to anything. And actually with the same guy for almost 30 years! Who used to go to that house with me. @@Koalabean89 oh no, I lived in a high crime City. So a lot of my classmates had no rules. But I had a very abusive father, that I knew if I tried any of that stuff, my life was over. My mom was very lenient. But if she said No, that was the end of the discussion. The "party house" was ran by a single mother with different fathers of her 3 kids. Who lived off the system. She probably was trying to fill a void in her own life. My kids friends are always welcome in my home. Just with boundaries!

The parents have a part to play in these children's poor decisions. So many single mothers carry the guilt of seeing their children suffer without their fathers. She let her daughter chase that boy around out of guilt.
@secrets.295
@secrets.295 Жыл бұрын
It is not as easy as her mother "let" her daughter chase around that boy. Sometimes you cant control your kids and the more you control them, the worse it became. I used to represent my boss to do some charitable works for orphanage homes. I found out that 90% of the children are not totally orphaned. They loss 1 parent, but they still have another one, mostly a mother with no dad. Their mothers send them there because they have gotten so out of control that if they stayed with them, the kids will completely be ruined by the time they turned 18. These are single mothers who have to work 2 if not 3 jobs just to make ends meet. So they had no choice but to send them to these orphanages. At least they have structure, they have to go school, and probably with less expenses and less stress to deal with. The mom can focus on the other child more. So it is easy to say, these moms let their daughters became like that. The truth is, they cant even control their kids anymore after a certain age. How do u control your kids and monitor them if you have to work 13,14,15 hours per day?

His answer to me was that on their 18th birthdays the sons knew they had to leave home. I asked why his response what that was how he was raised in the south. He said 18 y/o boys thought they were men and that there could only be one in the house. But years after his death, we noticed that these grown men were slowly moving back in, the mother was older and had allowed them back in! Some drank and others did drugs and none of them worked. The mother was getting food donations from her church! The father was right to show them the door. Where I'm from the parents can lose their home. Here's hoping your brother is doing better.

@@maryrodger5130 Yup. A lot of comments on here are saying she's a bad mother. But I disagree. Based on what she said, she was trying her best. Judy recognized this, that's why she doesn't chastise the mother as harshly because she knows a bad kid will just be a bad kid. It's one thing if you're willing to just wash your hands of your kid, it's another to explicitly enable them. Mom wasn't encouraging her daughter to do any of those things, hence why she put her in therapy and called the police several times. The mother in your story seems to be enabling them at every turn.

Some students I grew up with drove Mercedes Benz and BMW Cars in high school. Some students got angry and keyed their cars. The students took a key and scratched the person's luxury vehicle and left significant damage on the paint because of jealousy. Luxuries are not worth it in my opinion. There are too many fights and arguments because some people say it's unfair for someone to have European cars. This is a very common occurrence and happens to every person who drives a high end vehicle.

How in the hell is your 16 year old staying with people you don’t know and you do not call the police? Plus it’s obvious this child has no home training by the way she speaks to a judge. A child should not respond “yeah” to an adult.

Ohhhh! JJ was talking about Peter Pan. 😂 She said, “Pinocchio and the land of lost children.” I quickly paused and the scenes of Pinocchio blew through my mind so fast! I kept thinking, “Land of lost children? What? Did I forget a big part of Pinocchio?” I kept watching and then she said it! “The Lost Boys”, PETER PAN! Man, she meant Peter Pan! 😂 Phew! I’m glad I’m not losing my memory! 😂 I’m a bit paranoid these days about losing my mind or my memory. Even though I just turned 27 a few days ago. I should just enjoy my youth instead of worrying about old age. 😂
