Judgement (World of Warcraft 3D Animated Short)

3 жыл бұрынLordaeron has fallen years ago, yet its former defenders are still among us. Some of them took up the cause of the Alliance whole heartedly, while others never truly let go of their anger. Recently, Donny has been sent on patrol in his former homeland and his long forgotten need for vengenace has reemerged.
This movie took us 5 months to produce. It's the first time we fully collaborted on a proper short film as Team True Potential. We have set up a system for rebuilding WoW environments and figured out most special effects from scratch. A lot of time was spent on research, learning from failure and software crashing. It started with a short duel animation that was supposed to be 30 seconds. However as more were added it expanded into a 3 minute short film complete with a backstory. Since the project was getting completely out of hand already, we decided to hire a professional composer. The impressively cinematic soundtrack was composed entirely for this movie by Zach Heyde.
These films take astronomical amounts of work. Combined, we have spent approximately 1500 hours of work to create this film. If you are a rogue without a skill you will loose agains paladin. If you are a paladin you dont need to have a skill. Bubbles will do everything for you 😉 hate paladins btw 😊

I play ret and assassination (well before taking time off for tbc classic) and rets are scary af for rogues to face head on. You basically have to reset/escape wings or it’s ova! Sometimes it’s worth it for the ret to offensive bubble to make sure the big dam lands (I’ve won way too many arenas like this sadly)

This video is INSANELY magnificent! The amount of detail is astonishing and I can't believe how every video you produce is so encapsulating, and rapidly increases in both quality and excitement. I love the unique usage and vast selection of their abilities and the combat was executed so creatively and aesthetically delightful. Lucile's kick on Donny with the beloved sound effect threw me off my chair. The future is bright for you three and I can't wait for the next one after I've rewatched this video a couple of hundred times :)

I've watched it 10 times and continue noticing new little details every time. The most recent? The way the paladin's belt sways when he walks, but never clips through his knees - it always bounces off at the right moment! Perfection!

GREAT WORK! I want to make a point out of the 00:50 scene. The movement of both characters is flawless. The way the paladin swings his hammer without making it look like it`s made out of cardboard sells the entire scene. I believe this to be a great example of how real physics can be visually impressive without the fantastical pampering.

That animation is just sooo good. Great work! The moment when the paladin used his wings was just giving me goose bumps. And when the rogue kicked the paladin to deliver the fatal blow again. 10/10 easily

Paladin not using Judgment of the Pure against rogue to dispell poisons, popping wings and bubble at the same time (At full health), not using WoG or Light's Celerity for instant FoL. The sucka is a sucka, and worst of all, attacking a random rogue instead of offering to help. We at the Silver Hand do not claim this Paladin or his wicked ways. Loved this though

Unrealistic. Rogue would have stealthed and either chain stunned or just run away as soon as she saw the paladin coming up, and the paladin would have saved bubble for a bubble hearth. Jokes aside, an amazing animation as always! You guys do amazing work!

Oh yeah! I Like it! One can see the craftsmanship in this one. Character movement is something you need a lot of practice with to get right and this was very well animated, with on point spell effects and nicely used PBR materials for the characters. good pacing, nice cinematography. There are so many areas to get right in an animation and this one is pretty solid work indeed!

I was rooting for the paladin because he looked badass but I have to admit that undead looked kinda innocent. Yeah, she might have been a rogue but I don't think she was responsible for that caravan ambush. She was only curious and maybe even investigating the scene herself. Next, when the paladin attacked she wasn't even counter-attacking just dodging and evading his attacks like if she wanted to explain it wasn't her, but in the end the paladin was relentless and it turned to fight to the death.

Which is very in-character. An Old Man Paladin would immediately blame the Undead for anything, no matter what, considering how the lore used to be.

@@BluePachyderm105 Paladins can be part of neutral organizations, like the Argent Crusade, the Scarlets, or even completely unaffiliated as he could've refused to join Llane's Alliance after Lordaeron fell. Anything's possible with that. But what we're probably seeing here is a case of a PVP server interaction where the Undead's just trying to do a quest, and avoid fighting until they got sick and tired of the aggressor trying to kill them.

Wow, very impressive! Really appreciate this perspective, as undead rogue is my favorite to play!! xD But seriously, the graphics were amazing! You could understand their expressions and very much on par to the character models of today! Superb work!

Can you imagine if pvp was this slow? This seems more realistic than the break neck speed necessary to actually pvp. Each spell animation was complete and meaningful and made for a more complete encounter.
