I started off with a $300 laptop and a cheap steering wheel with pedals that I found at a yard sale for like $10 and now have g29 with pedals and shifter, a custom pc just need a few more things to be like a real trucker like a CB radio, truck shifter, and a button box.

Uuurgh I just don't understand how discord works I guess. I have a pretty crazy setup I haven't been using in close to ten years. It's got propotype motion stuff and I was using the first Oculus developrt kit among other things. Those are just anecdotes though, the real point is I got a woodworker to help me build a sim cockpit to the EXACT measurements of the the 1977 Lotus 78 F1 car. With decals and all. The wheel, the seat, the shifter, the peadls. Everything was custom fitted to the millmetre. The only thing I didn't think of was that racing in a classic F1 cockpit is an ABSOLUTE PAIN haha. First of all I have to lower my body using the strength of my arms with straight feet to even get into it. Using a keyboard is a real struggle even though I got one of those smaller ones. I mounted at touchpad for the mouse but yeah... There is in fact such a thing as going too far when it comes to sim racing. So I was an active sim racer for like five years. But my "super awesome" cockpit is really what put me off as well haha. Anyway I'm about to throw it all in the trash and/or sell it at a stupid low price now because I'm getting a more sensible rig. Maybe if you reply to this I can email you some photos or whatever. Because it is both silly and impressive and I would love to see it featured on your channel.
