Thank you very much for uploading this 2001 fight. I have watched All Japan Judo Championship since around 1970. Never missed except this year. When I heard the result later, I was so surprised. Because in the previous year these two guys fought as well, but then Shinohara was absolutely dominant. Maybe after that Inoue had improved power a lot as well as techniques. In this match Inoue successfully controlled Shinohara's grips, and his total strategy worked well. But as a Judoka I wanted to see their full grip body-faced-body fight (like Yamashita vs Saito). Only In that way we can judge who is really stronger. Anyway, this match itself is great. One of the most memorial finals. Thank you, again!

So evenly matched - not much happened but it was tense judo. Despite the rules I would have made them fight until one lost by Ippon or Waza Ari.

井上が弱りまくった2008年でもリネールはここまでねじ伏せることは出来てなかった確実に篠原の方が強いと思う

あー棟田は強いね　棟田の強さは上手いだけじゃなく外人からしたら世界一やりにくい柔道家だと思う自分も学生時代言い方悪いけど小デブが一番やりにくかった

At that time Inoue was competing in the -100kg category normally, so he'd be around 100-110 here I guess? Shinohara competed in +100kg normally and weighed 135kg during the 2000 Olympics. I think that's plausible weight in this video too.
